Hotel Sol De Quito

Muy satisfactoria. Restaurantes buenos muy cerca y ir a la zona de moda cuesta solo 1$50 en taxi. Este Hotel tiene un decorado notable y unis empleados muy simpaticos.

As with most of the reviews, this place was great. My flight landed late after midnight so I opted for their airport pick up for $50. This is pricey considering you can get a taxi from the airport for 25-30 but having never been to Ecuador I played it safe especially arriving so late. The shuttle van was their with a sign with my name as soon as I entered baggage claim. Relief. The hotel is 45 mins from the airport. Checking in was a breeze. The room was exactly what I asked for. The decor in the hotel is unique and gives it a nice equadorian feel which was my favorite thing. The door didn't shut all the way but still locked. Bathroom was up a couple steps in a loft. Great view of mtns. Shower was fickle at times, not a huge problem. Street was quiet at night but noisy in the morning. Car alarms, building alarms, and diesel trucks but that is ecuador so get over it. Breakfast was nice and lite, offered filtered water. The hotel is centrally located. Easy to get where you want to go in the city. Overall, I felt safe amd comfortable and that is all that matters. Would stay again. Overall

I never stayed at Sol del Quito because I was not registered by hotels.com. As a result of not having a reservation I went through a nightmare b/c I don't speak nor understand Spanish. I do not want anymore to do with hotels.com. Take me off your mailing list & I won't start a blog stating that you failed to deliver. It appears u don't have a way for me to cancel on my own.

Cab driver couldn't find it from address on Internet. Has character. Noisy at night. Not great 4 the price.

Unfortunately I cannot rate this hotel because when I arrived to check in they had no reservation for me even though I had your reservation paper work.. They were also completely booked up. So my rating is not the hotel but it is for hotels.com. HAVE ANY OF YOU BEEN IN A COUNTRY WHOSE LANGUAGE YOU CANNOT UNDERSTAND OR SPEAK WELL? WELL I HAVE, THANKS TO YOU:>!! IT WAS COSTLY, FRUSTRATING, TRULY SCARY. I SPOKE TO A MAN IN THE HOSTEL I HAD TO STAY IN WHO WAS MUGGED AND ROBBED AT GUN POINT LAST YEAR IN THE SAME NEIGHBORHOOD THAT I WAS IN. SADLY I HAVE NOTHING KIND TO SAY TO YOU :) !! MY EXPERIENCE WAS A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE :) !!. ! I suggest you try booking a room in a country where you don't speak the language and booking your reservation anonymously thru your own web site. I am using a lot of restraint in writing this to you because I have learned in 62 years that I would be allowing you to live "RENT FREE IN MY HEAD." Plus who would I blame? Some poor shmuck who is hired to take the heat from unhappy customers. The rooms were all booked up. So if you want me to rate YOUR web site and your ability to get me a room for 4 days then I will tell you without hesitation I am completely "NOT AT ALL SATISFIED :>!! That said, I will not book a room thru hotels.com again. I would also appreciate you taking me off of your mailing list without hassle or spam from you in the future. My initial excitement about my trip to Ecuador was ruined b/c of your inability to book my reservation.

We spent eight days while attending a conference in the city. Everything was just great from our cute room with a loft and a balcony to the nice breakfasts and courteous staff. We had business in another city then returned to Quito for another night returning again to The Sol de Quito and it felt a bit like coming home. It's close to the park, malls, restrants and a cheap taxi ride to anywhere you may want to go in the city.

El hotel esta un poco caro para el precio , que se paga. el primer día no dieron una habitación muy chica ya el segundo día por petición mía me cambiaron a otra habitación un poco mejor . El servicio te lo adjunta a la cuenta , en fin deberían reconsiderar los precios

Muy buen servicio aunque mi esposa lo disfruto mas que yo jjjj recomendado sol de quito... espero volver pronto.
