Hotel Sassi

The location of Hotel Sassi is perfect. You are a stones throw from all the great restaurants and the view from the hotel bar is stunning. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, particularly the manager who helped us move room.

As some reviews have noted, given the hotel is built into the actual sassi caves, there is an unpleasant smell in the rooms. Our junior suite was unfortunately located right at the bottom of the sassi, squeezed into an unappealing alleyway - this was naturally not how it was advertised on the website.. The air conditioning in our room did not work and it was boiling hot. We complained and the lovely manager helped us to move room immediately, putting us in a much larger room. However, this room stank of damp and the bed itself was damp (we slept in clothes as our bodies were sticking to the damp bed!). The room had several other alcoves and rooms with nothing in them which gave it a slightly off putting eerie feel.. Some people may find this appealing, however given the price per night we did not. All in all, the Hotel Sassi is suited for those looking for a new hotel experience, but not for someone who wants comfort and a sense of luxury. Given the price point (£250 for one night!), we expected a slightly higher level of cleanliness and general standards.

Tutto meravigliosamente bello! Camera paragonabile ad un museo. Ottima posizione. Colazione buona e soprattutto con una meravigliosa visuale. Lo consiglio

Mega Ausblick. Das Zimmer ist sehr klein, zum Schlafen reicht es. Wir hatten ein winzigen Balkon(Zimmer 514) wie hatten eine super Aussicht. Das Frühstück war okay.

Hotel ma super lokalizację z pięknym widokiem na Sassi. Pod każdym względem jest ok. Bardzo dobre śniadania, czysto, przemiły i pomocny personel. Panuje w nim rodzinna atmosfera.

It was beautiful to see the see. Very nice location. Difficult to get there. Big suitcases not recommended. The transfer service gets you closer which is nice but it takes a little bit to get your suitcases down. Carrying is recommended. The balcony was wonderful. Going down for the bathroom was uncomfortable but doable.

The bathroom downstairs. But my personal preference. It was neat staying there

A really lovely hotel. Very clean and comfortable with good breakfast choices. Stunning view and and great location. I don't think we could have chosen better! Highly recommended.
