Oselya Hotel

Very courteous, pleasant, and helpful staff, great breakfast, clean and ample sized rooms, nice modern shower bathroom, and safe and secure. You do need to walk to the bus to get to the subway for most activities, but it's fast and easy. The hotel is in the suburbs and has a quiet and comfortable feel. It was nice being there and a nice place to come back to at the end of the day. Limited English TV but lots of stations for other languages. The hotel is well looked after and cared for and everything works. Everything was positive and deserves a positive recommendation.

This hotel is quite charming, the staff is very friendly, and at a nice price. Ordinarily this would be a hotel I would love to return to. However, it is in a residential area. Dogs are barking at all hours. There is no hotel bar or restaurant, although they do serve a small breakfast and will serve a small meal if you request it. The only restaurant in the area is a small but decent restaurant about a 5 - 10 minute walk from the hotel. Also, the hotel is nowhere close to downtown Kiev. With the normal Kiev traffic, it took a 30 minute taxi ride to get down town. Definitely has it's pros and cons.

The people at Hotel Oselya bent over backwards to make sure I had a pleasant stay while I was in Kiev. The hotel is spotless and my room was completely remodeled and very comfortable and the reception worked extra hard to make sure I was comfortable and also arranged a half-day tour for me. Breakfast was excellent and included in the price of the room and if I ever return to Kiev, I will definitely stay there. The only drawback is that it's not in the middle of the city center, so you have to take a cab to/from the hotel but the will call one for you and the receptionist even walked outside and talked to the cab driver to make sure he knew where to take me-- and also made sure I didn't get overcharged! The + is that the neighborhood very quiet and you get to see a "real" neighborhood. There are so many great places of historic and cultural interest in Kiev and the hotel can arrange a tour of the city for you, which I highly recommend as Kiev is big and spread out and it would be difficult to see everything without a guide.

Cleanliness and comfort of the room 5/5 The breakfast was very good and ready on time. The Service of the two wonderful girls who work at the hotel was perfect. They did a lot to help us. I recommand this hotel to everyone who wants to discover Ukraine.

Oselya hotel is amazing. The staff are fantastically friendly and helpful and the hotel is wonderfully kept and very secure. The only issue with the hotel is the distance from the city. Unfortunately it takes a very a long time to get into the city (upwards of 20 minutes) and often taxi drivers do not know where the hotel is so ensure you take a map with the hotel location! The hotel is very reasonably priced for Kiev and for the standard of the rooms.

Oselya hotel was the perfect stopover. I only had time to sleep one night and catch breakfast, but i am delighted I stayed at the Oselya. Wonderful people, very homely, I felt like a guest in the true sense, and they were my hosts. Accomodation was simple but faultless, hotel was near enough to the airport for my stopover, breakfast was great. Sorry I could not stay for longer, staff were wonderful - they were professional and really cared.

Hotel Oselya is a small hotel about 25 minutes from the centre of Kie by taxi. What the hotel lacks in size it makes up for with extremely good customer service, with friendly helpfull staff, the personal touches you can`t get from big hotels, very good breakfasts, a choice of 3 that all have names such as full till lunch. Each room has a name, the rooms are clean , well maintained, and the shower puts many larger hotels to shame! The taxi journey to the city centre costs about £6 when booked by the hotel but if you just get a taxi back from the street the cost can be between £6-£11.. I would stay in the hotel again and would recommend Hotel Oselya to others!

Oselya Hotel is one of the hidden gems of the Ukraine. If you want to stay in a plastic environment go to one of the chain hotels. If you want to really enjoy local hospitality at its best, yet maintain your privacy, the Oselya is for you. The hotel ownership and staff are incredably helpful and knowledgable. They truly make you feel like family.. So interested in pleasing their guests and meeting they needs. What a great team. The staff helped us each day find hidden gems around Kiev and arranged no hassle and inexpensive transportation. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, breakfast tasty, and the hotel itself, quite quiet and relaxed.
