Gasthof zum Rassen

Mattresses/beds were okay, but pillows were pretty bad. It was pretty warm in the room and it would have been nice to have a sheet or light blanket instead of just the duvet, so I ended up taking the duvet out of its cover and just using the cover. Breakfast was a really good traditional German cold breakfast, lots of cold meats, fruits and good breads, and the breakfast room was very charming.

Beware, make sure you reserve a room with a bathroom, or you will have to use the community one, located in the hallway with the rest of the guests on the floor.(1shower,sink,and toilet for the whole floor to share) Otherwise, great location,easy to find, dinner was ok, but the breakfast was Superb! I had no other issues except the whole community bathroom /shower thing..

We all loved the charming ambience of the entire place and the staff's friendly and helpful demeanor. There is a church directly across the one lane street that rings its bells to call worshipers to service. Some may find that bothersome.

Below average - not good value for the money - will not use again

I just love this location—it’s picturesque! We booked a room for 3 & were pleasantly surprised to have a 2 bedroom apartment! It was very nice! The breakfast was good as well. Wish we could have stayed longer to try out the dining room and music.

Great location and very nice basic room. Beware of church bells...RIDICULOUS on a Sunday morning. They go off all night and on Sunday at 6am for 6 min straight and every half hour and hour. Recommend property but the bells are very INTENSE!

We had such a lovely stay at Gasthof zum Rassen! The building is on the main historical street street of Partenkirchen, so the area is lined with cute little inns. We loved this one best because of the great staff. Robert and Denis were so kind, helpful, and funny. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The chef also make an AMAZING breakfast every single morning. The building is beautifully painted in the traditonal Bavarian style. The area is also ideal. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk from the Garmisch train station, where you can also get the train to Zugspitze and other mountain hikes/lakes. This place is perfect for a long weekend or a full naturey hiking vacation. Would love to go back!
