Langtry Manor Hotel

Very unique, very kind gentleman on the reception upgraded us to the Kings Room. It was magnificent.

Room could have been a little cleaner.

Das Ambiente des Hauses ist umwerfend. Alles ist wie auf den Fotos. Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir haben sehr ruhig geschlafen. Die beste Unterkunft während unseres Urlaubs. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und vielseitig. Wir können es wärmstens empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

Good location with free parking

Room wasn’t clean; the bin hadn’t been emptied before arrival so had previous occcupnats rubbish in it. There were coffee/tea spilliages on furniture which hadn’t been cleaned. Room looked tired; bathroom was quite grubby and bath didn’t work. Room was very hot so a fan would’ve been appreciated. You would expect to find a fridge in a suite. As no staff at the hotel the entry door is on a key code, several times when we arrived back the door had been left open by the previous persons exiting/entering. Rather limited TV channels. For the money you expect more.

The property has maintained the authenticity.

The top floor rooms should be little more spacious.

The history, the building, the photographs and stories about Lilly Langtry and her friends. The location was nice and quiet. Good parking in front of the building and access codes worked.

I booked two rooms. One of them had an extremely small bathroom, it was rather a struggle for two six foot tall people. The restaurant at the hotel was listed online as open for dinner, but in reality closed. Recommendations of restaurants near the beach: 2 of 3 of those were closed. It would have been helpful if the staff knew and could advise maybe rather the places local residents eat in, as those may have been open?

The Hi Hi-lite was the breakfast. Very good selection. The staff were extremely helpful & polite. The chef cooked, the best scrambled egg I’ve ever had.

Having to change rooms for 1 night as TV in Room 8 wasn’t working. Was put in Room 11. Lovely room. But, very dusty from dado rail down to skirting, cobwebs over main light & corners. Carpets need a good clean. Coffee mug was chipped, not even washed up. Then to Room 8. 1st impressions, tidy room. Until it came to bedtime, The roller blinds are at least 3 inches away from window. Once down lets in all the light back into room. Either from street light on the road or the light in the morning from about 4.30am. I did not sleep well on those 2 nights. Didn’t like the 4 pin entry code, it’s not for me. It’s 1st hotel I have stayed when your room isn’t serviced every day. On Saturday I got back at 8pm. Went to my room, door was open. When i checked everything, I noticed the bin was empty, that’s all the do!!! And finally, when I noticed the TV wasn’t working, I went downstairs to the desk, where the sign says pick up the phone & this will go through to Reception. It would have helped if the phone was plugged in.

Good car parking. Hotel and building and decor was nice especially the memorabilia to Lilly Langtry.

Hotel very out of the way. No lifts our room was at the very top in the loft and a lot of stairs, luckily not a problem for us but it could have been for someone else. The bedside drawers had bits in . No shower. No staff on hand all issues had to be directed to the sister hotel a walk away. Meals at the sister hotel too.

The house was lovely and the bedroom was beautiful, very spacious and elegant. Had everything we needed and more.

The room could have done with a good clean, there were cobwebs all over the windows and fireplace, as well as on the ceiling, there was balloon string around the four poster bed posts, the shower cubicle was small, made even worse by the fact the door was stuck closed so had to squeeze through 1 door. There were also no windows that could he opened so had to sleep with the balcony door wide open on hit night, which was facing the main road so clearly visible. There were also a pair of pyjama bottoms and some cigarette products in tbe wardrobe left from previous guests, which makes you wonder about cleanliness. We saw absolutely no staff at any point during the times we were there but people were constantly coming in and leaving. There was also an ironing board and no iron. Also, the front door handle came off in your hand every time you tried to close the door.
