"Bank Holiday weekend to visit family and Canaletto"

Hadn't realised they weren't providing breakfast due to Covid. Also hadn't twigged we were supposed to pay online the day before we arrived. Fortunately they hadn't yet got rid of their card machine so was able to pay on arrival as we have done previously. At a busy Bank Holiday weekend the parking was a bit difficult as not a huge area available.

"Good value for money"

Our room was quite small but really nicely decorated and the bed hangings really made the room feel special. The hotel is located at the top of a hill so it is an easy walk into the city centre but we caught a bus back each time. The bus is easy to find from the bus station, number 3 or 4 and get off at 'Bear Flat'. Large car park with easy parking. An enjoyable stay.

"Christmas visit to family "

It was a last minute change of circumstances and we required a local stay in Bath, it will be nice to come back when we reach the other side of this pandemic.

"Building and facilities showing their age badly"

Carpet in the room was grubby, heating was from a plug-in electric heater, the towel rail radiator in the bathroom was disconnected so no heating in there at all, freezing tile floor, shower was honestly the worst I have had in my entire life. I can't rate the food as, unlike the 3 other hotels I have stayed in during Coronavirus lockdown who managed to find safe ways to provide it, there was no such attempt made here to serve the guests.

"Never again"

Stay here as a last mi ute booking. Not impressed. Rooms were terrible, cable running across the floor, not very clean, bathroom mouldy everywhere, poor shower, bathroom very small, generally whole room in a poor state.

Overall it was ok but please keep in mind this is a guest house not a hotel. The bed was kind of short but it’s not a first for me cause i am tall.

"Good"

4.0

No heating in bathroom, shower not regulated, no mirror for when ladies have to blow dry hair.Also tv did not work, picture continually pixelated.
