Castle House Luxury Apartments

A code was shared and easy to use - no keys were needed. The apartment was clean, good size for our stay, comfortable, and great location for visit and excursions. We were able to store our luggage until check-in.

It could do with a couple more kitchen amenities if staying for a longer period (eg chopping board, larger pot, freezer tray in the fridge) On our last stay the heating suddenly went off - we didn't touch any of the settings but non of the radiators were on. So we had to crank up to the highest just to warm up a bit, then returned to the original manual setting.

Great location.

We arrived early but couldn't get in, so we had to deal with luggage until check-in time. Also, we struggled with the door code entry until we became familiar with the process. Steps at the entrance to the building were steep, as well as the interior stairs up to the apartment. They made things challenging with luggage. (We were going on a cruise that departed from Reykjavik.)

Perfect location, quiet, very clean, had just what you need in the kitchen.

Location was what sold the property to us! The key code situation did t go as easy as we wanted and we were hoping for an early check in but didn’t really get that. There was a blonde housekeeper and she was AMAZING!!!! Very personable and friendly! Super helpful as well.

It’s a bit small, and it’s on the ground floor so be aware of that. Entry can be hard because the code doesn’t always work, and it’s very hard to enter the right code. But the staff was very helpful over the phone so we figured it out.
