Piccolo Hotel Del Lido

We stayed in the Lido before our wedding 7 years ago and went back last week. The place has got even better if anything, Sandy is a top hotel manager, the hotel is immaculate and she is always available to help. Breakfasts were fantastic, rooms spotless and the beach 😍😍. Mention to Issay from housekeeping who did not stop smiling!

This spa like hotel was everything we were hoping with all 12 sleek, well equipped rooms only steps away from the ocean. The staff was unbelievable as we arrived early and they welcomed us by letting us check in early. The parking was secure and convenient and the breakfast and service was outstanding.

If you're primarily looking for some beach time on Italian Riviera, look no further. This hotel has one very important thing going for it: premium beachfront location and private rooftop terraces with sun protection and sun loungers. If you've ever tried to get a spot on these beaches in the summer, you will understand that this fact alone makes the cost of staying at the Lido worth it. Their rooftop terraces are indeed as good as it gets in this part of Italy where beach space is at a premium. Another excellent feature is free parking that the hotel provides for its guests. Outside of these big bonuses, it wasn't a place I loved. Although it is a small property (which I always prefer), to me it felt commercial rather than boutique.The hotel is clean and modern, but in places showing age. Toilet bowl was frequently running water and had to be handled 'just so' in order for the water to stop running. TV didn't work, although we called someone to fix it twice. Eventually we just gave up on it. Breakfast has variety but lacks flavour. It is also served in the same room where the indoor pool is and this feels awkward (echo and the occasional chlorine smell). Finally, the most awkward thing about it was that all rooms face a common courtyard where people linge, sit, walk - so there is always someone either sitting in front of your room or walking past your door. Since your door is also the only window into the room, this creates certain discomfort when changing, or sleeping with the door open. The hotel is also close to both the centre of Lerici and San Terenzo and well-located for summer day trips all along the Riviera with daily boats running to Porto Venere and Le Cinque Terre. Would I return? Probably, but only in the summer when it is 100% beach season. There is no other reason to stay at the Lido and yet for beach-centric vacation it can't be beat.

We have only praise for this hotel. Sure, it is costly but it’s worth the buck. Wonderful venue smack on the beach, small but nice rooms and the best breakfast we have had in Italy. The only flaw was that we could not connect all our devices to the wifi. There appeared to be a three device maximum which obviously is too limited for a family of four.

Wonderful small hotel with 12 rooms, each with a private rooftop sun deck. Outstanding service from a welcoming staff. Sandy made us feel pampered and welcome from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Excellent location on private sand beach. Delicious breakfast buffet. Great lunches are available as well. We had a peaceful, relaxing stay. We've already booked our return visit.

We were there at relatively low season. This is the only hotel in the area that is on the beach. It is quite, clean, and modern. Nice bathrooms. Incredibly responsive staff. Beautiful breakfast offering. One of the most expensive in this area, but for a reason.

Small but quite nice hotel. This hotel has only 12 rooms but I strongly recommend it! Staff very professional and helpfully. Our room was just facing the sea side,probaly about 10 mt. from the water..... Excellent location and perfect breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay!

Fabulous unique hotel. First class staff. Brilliant breakfast - possibly best ever. Family of four and we all loved it - especially stepping straight from the room onto the beach. Lounging around on our private roof terrace was pretty cool too. We'll be back

We enjoyed everything about this hotel, the rooms, the breakfast, the sun terrace, the proximity to the beach, the swimming pool like swimming experience in the sea, the friendly staff. The center of Lerici is only 10-15 minutes walk away, and Cinque Terre and Portovenere are easily accessible by boat. The hotel has no restaurant but much choice in Lerici. If you spend the day at the beach, there is a nice beach restaurant serving snacks, pasta, pizza and salads as well as ice-creams.

Stayed in this Hotel for a wedding and loved the place. Location is on the beach and you have a private terrace above your room to look out over the bay. Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly.
