Not a bad budget option. The place could have been cleaner. A bit run down. The breakfast however, was excellent and the staff was very pleasant.
For the price I paid I got more than I expected. What I needed was clean bed and hot shower. Breakfast was also better than I expected. As a negative point I would mention smell of cleaning staff. To get rid of it I opened the windows. But then it was too noisy.
If you need a place to stay in Tiberias, a wonderful Israeli resort Town, definitely check out The Berger. Great value for a Hotel not on waterfront, friendly staff and management, breakfast was a pleasant surprise. the rooms are quaint and the beds were super-comfortable.
Should have been renovated after the Yom Kippur War. BUT, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Car parking, internet and –unexpectedly– a copious cooked breakfast were all included in the price. You won’t find cheaper in the area.
Berger Hotel appears to be a family-run operation, so it's pretty no-frills. But we found our room to be clean, comfortable, and very spacious. The owner was very sweet and eager to help and offer tips on what to see and do in the area. I think the hotel could use a bit of updating (for example, the fridge in our room didn't work) but if you're just passing through the Sea of Galilee and need a base, Berger will definitely do. The included breakfast is an added bonus- it has something for everyone. And the price is very reasonable.

This hotel is located on the main street of Tiberias on a 2nd floor. The street is EASY TO FIND using a GPS if you are driving a car and there is a FREE LARGE PARKING AREA next to the hotel that is part of the hotel property. I was not bothered by any street noise . The room was clean and comfortable. The owner was friendly and welcoming. There is FREE INTERNET up to about 11PM. The price of my room was quite reasonable. I am "picky" but this hotel was very satisfactory in all respects. I don't remember if it has an elevator so you might have to carry your bags up a flight of stairs.

It's a nice hotel--especially for the price. The breakfast is amazing, which is a plus not accounted for in the survey. Bathroom was "European" (open shower/no shower stall/tub). Hotel staff was particularly knowledgeable and helpful.
