City Hotel Nieuw Minerva Leiden

Secure bike storage on ground floor of hotel. Good location for seeing Leiden.

It’s in a busy area which means there can be noise from alleyway bars if you’re on that side of the building and want to keep your windows open in hot weather.

Loved the central location as the hotel is very close to Leiden town centre main shopping streets and leiden university.

The hotel was very old. The room was on the second floor and there were no lifts. The stairs were quite steep. The room only offered twin beds and had bunks beds also in the room despite the fact that it was just the two of us. We wanted a double bed however there was none available apart from an attic room. The room was quite dated particularly the ensuite and we had to ask for items that should have been in the room. The photos on Booking com did not match our experience. As we were coming to Leiden for a specific occasion we were very central and that was most important.

Nice location near to Bars / Bistros and Restaurants. Lively but not too noisy. Nice view of canal outside window. Bathroom was big clean and well equipped with bath and separate shower stall.

Bedroom could do with a lick of paint, not up to the high quality finish of the bathroom and the reception area.

Facilities are older and could use updating. No AC, room quite warm and could be noisy late into evening with open windows. Breakfast was fine.

Sehr nettes Hotel in guter Lage im Zentrum von Leiden, direkt an einer Gracht. Sehr freundliches Personal, ausreichendes Frühstück.

Manche Zimmer bedürfen einer leichten Renovierung.

Sehr zentral gelegen, hübsche Lage. Shuttle-Service vom Parkplatz.
