Dirty and very poorly maintained

Lovely location and the staff were friendly

Went to climb into bed and there was dead skin in it…..a big chunk too. Ended up sleeping on top of the covers and had wrapped myself as didn’t feel comfortable. The shower wasn’t great but it is an older system, and I still managed to clean myself.

The man who checked me in was helpful and happy.

The condition of the hotel is shocking. It's under new management, and I truly hope that massive changes are made. As a lone female, I would not recommend staying here. The room I was in was shocking condition. The TV could not stand up independently as the feet of the tv were broken. The bathroom, even though clean, was awful. The linen and towels were clean and of good standard. Sadly, this was the only redeeming feature. The smell of damp, the condition of the furniture, and the whole interior of the hotel was shocking. I did raise a complaint via booking.com but failed to come up with an answer. I am shocked that such a property is on booking.com My only regret was that I failed to take photos, and in my hast to get out, I just ran. I booked another hotel for the night.

The linen seemed clean. The towels were good.

Dirty, smelly, disgusting. Carpets were rank. The whole place needs gutting and renovating. TV didn't work. Toilet wouldn't flush. Furniture a charity shop would throw out. Bar area the same, sticky tables, dirty, in need of a complete renovation. Much advertised breakfast only available at the weekend. I chose the 'best' room (at an additional cost). I hate to think what the others were like. My daughter stayed in a four star hotel with pool and spa for an extra £10.

The owners and staff were very welcoming. The location was perfect for us for an event at the Arena

Lets start at the beginning, room 8 smelt of sewage as soon as entered. Definite toilet drainage issues, but as we were only staying 1 night we thought what the hell. The bathroom was fairly shocking, broken tiles, broken bath screen, very suspect electrics for the light switch. The door edges were dirty and hairs on the surfaces. The shower itself was a joke, just a mild dribble with no shower mat. The t.v had no volume but a fab member of staff sorted that for us by swapping it for another room. On the plus side, the bed linen and towels were fresh and soft so the actual sleep was pretty good (apart from the smell). I guess you get what you pay for but for £70 for 1 night this was still pretty shocking. Great staff though.

Shockingly bad! Bed was broken, shown another room the smelt of sewage, that bed was broken too! When I closed the window in my room bathroom smelt of sewage! Put the mattress on the floor, didn’t sleep at all. Booked in another hotel for the second night! Steer clear!!
