Comfort Suites Gulfport Central

Overall, an okay hotel. I was traveling with my family and needed a place a stay on our way home. This hotel had a great price and was conveniently located. The hotels and rooms appeared to be clean, overly so.

We had to change rooms due to the amount of cleaning chemicals used in our first room. The room likely had a smoking or other violation and needed to be deodorized. The chemical cleaning smell was OVERPOWERING. While I am not normally affected by the use of cleaning products, the smell caused a massive headache based on sheer volume of perfumes and cleaning supples to mask the other smells. I assume it was smoking, but there was no way to tell the reason. We asked to change rooms and initially told no unless we paid an extra $30 for the night, even though multiple rooms were available. I had to mention booking.com and leaving a bad review. The front desk person must have had to call the manager to get a room change. USE CAUTION: Hotel bookings with third parties likely means this hotel will give you a lower quality rooms. The new room met all of our needs, most of all, it didn't cause headaches and the smell was not overwhelming. Frnakly, it shouldn't take a bad review or engaging booking.com to get a new room when the room was a poorer quality and the chemical smell and perfume was excessive. We only stayed one night in the hotel and never heard from the manager or hotel staff other than the front desk. After the front desk person obtained approval to move us, we were able to enjoy your stay, but it took nearly an hour to fully resolve.

Nice hotel, would stay again, good location for shopping in Gulfport and Biloxi

Whole stay was excellent

Friendly and easy check in, great breakfast choices with special shout outs for Ms. Gwen for keeping the area clean for more tables availability, and for keeping hot food on the bar. Linked the spacious rooms and the cleanest.

Bathroom door doesn't close completely.

The room was spacious. Staff very friendly. Continential breakfast good.

Three wasn't anything we didn't like.
