Spider web (with spider) in dirty window frame. At time of booking we weren’t advised that we’d been allocated a room on the fourth floor with no lift - had to carry case etc up.

The meals were very good and the staff added a lovely plate of chocolates to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Breakfast had a good range with plenty to choose from

The room was very cramped and not worth the tariff. I had booked a room overlooking the gardens, but we were put into a room on the first floor. We had to ask for another room as they hotel doesn't have a lift and I am unable to manage stairs. The accommodation is not suitable for people with disabilities, there is no wheelchair access and the rooms are far to small to fit a wheelchair in.

Very old and out dated. Room was ok and simple but so many things could be done to enhance the charm . We were also told that we couldn’t get bar food and sit near the fire place and eat it. We could only order room service which we asked if we could eat that in the bar area, they said no we had to stay in our room ( there is no table in room only bed) After complaining we were told they would bring it to our room and we could bring it back down!! So ridiculous. Finally after more complaints we got our cheese board near the fire place! There was no explanation only it’s the rule tonight!! And charged us extra for room service!! Terrible shower also.

Upstairs walls are thin can hear a lot. Air con or heating sounds all night as well.
