Scranton Seahorse Inn

The breakfast was better than a restaurant, and way better than a hotel room that includes breakfast. The host was personable and sincere. He made recommendations for day trips and restaurants. We enjoyed it so much, we would stay again, and recommend to friends.

It’s a quaint home cleverly decorated for Halloween. The host Mike was very accommodating and we were very appreciative. Good location.

I’m sure it’s just these older homes where showers are installed much later and so separate from the sink & toilet.

Breakfast was creatively delicious with plentiful coffee; very comfortable bed , and wonderold world decor.

Room, though comfortable, was close to the road and traffic in the early mo.

Superb enchantment of a cozy stay!!! Room, bed and bath (jacuzzi surprise) was just what the body and soul needed. Immaculately and warmly outfitted and for this full moon weekend near Halloween, it was burgeoning with hilarious and thoughtful Halloween & autumnal fare. Mike is a top chef/cook and a joy to know and be around (BTW, I wanted to sign the guest book and forgot) This location couldn't be more convenient to Madison's small, charming town center and the great ocean nearby.

My wife and I (and Jax the Maltese) took a long and winding trip through New England hoping to capture the quintessential New England Bed and Breakfast experience that we had read about. The Scranton Seahorse fit our vision perfectly. It is a charming home with a charming innkeeper, Michael. Michael was a wonderful host and a great breakfast chef. Our room was perfect! Jax had a great time too as he got lots of love from Michael and other guests. Unfortunately, we only had one night in this fabulous B&B. Hopefully, our next stay will be longer!

We were visiting a relative in Madison and feel fortunate to have found the Scranton Seahorse Inn. We stayed in the recently updated Long Island Mist room - spacious, bright and fresh, with a very comfy bed. When we came downstairs for breakfast, we met several other guests and enjoyed getting to know them. Breakfast was delicious. We hope to return.

I had a lovely stay. Very cute and comfortable room. Full, delicious breakfast. New automated key system is awesome! And I loved all the Halloween decorations. Perfect balance of getting to talk to others but you also have your privacy. Highly recommend!

It was pouring rain so that ruled out biking to Hammonasset Beach and limited walks around town. Nonetheless, we had a wonderful time. The house is gorgeous, the common area is quite comfortable and the breakfast delicious. We were able to eat at our favorite Cafe Alegre, and also at a restaurant new to us Bar Bouche. It was excellent, but we had a reservation for two and picked up one of the other guests for dinner. The seating is quite cozy, and it was not easy to accommodate a third person. Reservations are essential even on a Monday night.
