Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel

Nice hotel. Nice location. Pleasant staff. That’s where it ends. Cape Town is awash with options and this property needs its management to pull up its socks. If you’re going to charge this much then deliver. You’re not in any way. Make sure your room service is done etc. your people are very pleasant. Total lack of management. 1 out of 5 for that.

Our 3-night stay at Cape Cadogan was our introduction to the MORE Family Collection. We loved the location, style, and service of this property. Special shoutout to Asithandile (aka Asi!) who served us breakfast each morning with absolute professionalism and ease, and set the tone for our days in Cape Town in such a positive way. Also thanks to Jaco at reception who went above and beyond in their assistance with all of our questions, and accommodated all of our requests. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the middle of Cape Town. Pretty near a decent number of cafes and restaurants and a woollies. Most importantly it was clean and safe. The gym wasn’t very well equipped and the pool is abit too small to swim laps in though. Also, it was a little noisy at night.

Super lovely hotel with a warm and accommodating staff. Location is superb- easy to walk to some of the highly recommended restaurants. Will remind Americans of some of the boutique hotels in Charleston or Savannah. Gym is small and perfect. Pool is more of a plunge pool for cooling off than a pool kids would love to splash around in— which made it all the more enjoyable. Restaurant was excellent. I would go out of my way to stay here again.

We stayed at Cape Cadogan at the beginning of our South Africa trip and loved it. The staff were always warm and wanted to make sure you had everything you need. The bed and linens were top notch. We had a little private courtyard with a table and surrounded by greenery. The public spaces were somehow both luxurious and relaxed. The have an honor bar in the afternoon/evenings and it was so pleasant to have a glass of wine in the living room after a dinner out. There are wonderful touches like a large bowl of cold water bottles to grab on your way in or out. Little chocolates every night in your room. It feels very secluded, an oasis in the busy restaurant-full Kloof Street area, as opposed to the more sterile hotel district downtown. Oh, and don't miss a dinner at Upper Union on the property -- really attentive service. The raw oysters were excellent. Breakfast to order in included and we loved sitting on the patio in the morning lingering over coffee. Want two lattes, one for here and one to go? No problem! I am so happy to give good reviews when I find an excellent property and if you can, I fully recommend you stay here when you are in Cape Town.
