Incredible staff, Incredible food, incredible service, incredible room. I am not a 5star traveler, I am not one of the rich or famous, but I have traveled the world enough to know quality and value. You get both and more at Marivals Distinct Luxury Residences.

Overall it is a nice hotel but wouldnt stay there again. Food is average . Service is ok. Rooms are a but outdated. 10 min walk to ocean. Its more like a 4 star experience.

Love this place!

This place is not a place you want to stay if you are looking for relaxation. The staff is rude and they do you offer any type of customer service. They are not friendly and have many hidden charges. As soon as you think you have dodged the time share promoters at the airport wait until you check in. They sit you down and try to sell you on their property for over an hour. Imagine this after a long flight you can't wait to get into your room, you are greeted by a staff to sell you time share. I don't recommend this place. To top it off their food options is a joke. You might have better luck at their sister property at emotions but it's not much better.

The check in process was frustrating. They treat things as if it is a timeshare. They hold your room key and pass you off to multiple people who are trying to sell you on a membership (basically a timeshare). The expectations for tips was excessive and in your face. The resort itself is small. There was no daily entertainment, no decent kids activities, and food service was unpredictable on time. One dinner took over an hour to be brought out. The a/c in our room didn’t work well. We will not be staying at a Marival resort again.

Loved everything about this property and have recommended it to friends! Food was amazing, staff friendly and accommodating.

Checkin - the process is annoying as you have to sit and wait. They wanted us to sign up for the sales pitch for the property. Room. It’s muggy in the room and the a/c is not great. We didn’t see bugs but my husband had bites all over his legs. The rooms were very good though our soaking tub was not cleaned upon arrival. Food. The food was fairly good. Minus the mosquito in my kid’s pancake. there are only 2 places for breakfast and everything is a wait. It was impossible to get food service at the pool or beach. You cannot wear beach attire to the beach restaurant. The alcoholic drinks were sooo diluted. I watched the bartenders repeatedly make the drinks and they were skimping on the alcohol. The blended drinks were the worst. There are two other restaurants you have to pay to use. Do not. It was essentially the same food you could get in the other “included” restaurant. Amenities. Aside from the pool, there is not much. The fitness center is okay but the hours are limited as it is housed within the same building as the spa. So you have to go through the spa to use. They also would not let my teenager use the fitness center even while I was there. Some staff were friendly and prompt but most were not. They seemed very unhappy to be there and one woman had a black eye which was unsettling.

The service was terrible and staff specially the guy at the front door were rude.
