Hale Springs Inn

We love the way it was decorated and the squishy floors. It was absolutely beautiful and everyone that worked there was amazing.

I liked every thing about the hotel and surroundings. When I found out about the hotel and it's history I decided to stay there instead of newer hotel that is sterile and no ambiance. History also intrigued me. Sometimes one gives up amentias and comfort when not using modern hotel chains. But Hale Springs was just the opposite. I actually found it more comfortable. Hale Springs offers all amenities as modern hotel chains but the friendliness of staff. Their willingness to go beyond standard customer service far out shines others. The breakfast was great offering both proteins, and carbs for people that are grabbing energy as they head out for the day. Dinning room, patio, and bar eating all received the same level of excellent service. Menu was great. I had several meals and every one was delicious. I rented a car for distance exploring, but found that walking around the town and exploring all the shops, restaurants, parks was enjoyable. Again everyone was friendly and always took time to converse and share stories as they moved through their usual work days. I would encourage anyone looking for a relaxing vacation whether hiking the close by trails, or sight seeing by car. Or just walking through downtown streets to try Hale Springs Inn

There is nothing I did not like

The room was a very nice size with a four poster bed. Considering it was originally built in 1824, they did put in modern plumbing. The ceilings were high so it was kind of cool in the evenings. The inn had oil filled radiator looking type of heater. The room was comfortable using it late evening. Only draw back was we were given a room on the 3rd floor. The elevator only went to second floor. As we are elderly, we climbed 15 steps with luggage in tow. Next time will request a room on the second floor. Staff was very nice. They have a small tavern in the back of the inn. It was crowded due to everyone watching the Kentucky Derby. Overall it was a very nice stay.

Breakfast was great. Friendly staff. Dinner was delicious and so convenient by having it in the inn.

We were not disappointed with anything during our stay.

Cute quite little place

The stay was excellent. The only concern is our room was above the bar which made it noisy until the bar closed. We would easily stay again just chose a different room. The staff was friendly and professional.
