Topanga Canyon Inn B&B

Breakfast is a pinnacle of your stay in bed&breakfast. You expect food made fresh for you, served on a pristine table. That makes it different from a cheap motel. The night we came we were persuaded to choose a 9:30 time for our breakfast. The owner promised us exciting conversation with a group of people. However, in the morning when we came at 9:30we discovered everybody else was at the table eating and chatting (apparently they were told to come at 9:00) while we were made to wait until someone leaves. We had to eat leftovers at room temperature and in short supply. Coffee was lukewarm and ended on my husband. We were never asked if we wanted a refill. No food was made fresh for us! We were absolutely miserable and felt like owners considered us inferior to others even though we paid the same amount of money. Literally in 10 minutes after we were seated the food was taken away. even cheap and tasteless wafeles. Owners should be ashamed. We stayed in many bed&breakfast places and that was the worst breakfast ever. It completely ruined our first good impression of a place and nature around us. At least in a motel we are treated like everybody else. It's not about the money, it's about respect. We definitely are not going to stay here again.

I travel to the area often for work and thought I would try a different hotel instead of staying in Calabasas. I like the canyon so thought I would try this place. It is definitely unique. It is basically two homes in a very remote area off Topanga Canyon. My car barely made it to the location as the streets are really rough. I was the only one in the "house" that night. There was some type of exotic bird in the distance that was making loud noises. Just be prepared, this place is really off the beaten track.

My Girlfriend and I had planned a mini trip to the Getty and the area so decided to stay here after I picked the Inn of the 7th Ray to have a romantic dinner. We checked in after enjoying the Getty and the Host met us and showed us to our room and gave us a briefing of the property. The room Rhett Butler room was their best room and the balcony, view, fireplace, comfy King bed and nice furnishings were great. The only negative was there is only a large two person tub and no shower. Hiking trailhead is a short walk and we enjoyed a nice hike after a very tasty and hearty breakfast.

The host was excellent, the food was great and the views of the hills are terrific.

Clean, vibrant, inviting, hospitable, All the things I was looking forward to when I thought of as a get away trip, mountain air along with mountain valleys it's was great loved every minute of it an the hosts were very friendly and supplied us with everything that you have at home already. Can't wait to get back already.

We enjoyed our stay immensely! The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and stocked with everything needed for overnight stay. The view was amazing off the balcony. Our hosts were wonderful and very accommodating. They prepared a very good breakfast and even good conversation. Will definitely stay again in the near future.

Beautiful place to stay...clean, wonderful views, and attentive staff! We would stay there again in a heart beat! Breakfast delicious and conversation insightful...wonderful people run this bed and breakfast! So very glad we stayed here!

This was honestly the most amazing place I have ever stayed. The bed and breakfast itself is full of charm the view around you is absolutely stunning. The family running the bed and breakfast are so friendly and kind, I wish everyplace could be like this. My only suggestion is pack some food to make a quick and easy lunch because only one place delivers in the area.

The location has a remote feeling but is actually close to Malibu and Woodland Hills. The inn is very comfortable and has great common areas for relaxing. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast is outstanding and varied each day.

The staff and ownership were very attentive and accommodating. You are on a hill, in a villa, with amazing views.
