Tree Rose Motel Morwell

Noisy guest next door with bad language. Woke up to this several times during the night. Otherwise ok. Towels clean but could have been in better condition. No face cloths.

This was the most disgraceful hotel accomodation I have ever experienced. The room next to mine was in the midst of a very confronting domestic argument. Screaming and swearing, slamming doors, exiting and entering the room and pacing back and forth outside ours. They seemed to be long term tennants. They also had a couple of typically ‘junky’ looking people ride up on bikes, enter their hotel room and leave shortly after which I can only assume was to make dodgy purchases. I had no dead lock on my room, the chain had been removed from the door and I felt threatened, uncomfortable and generally not safe. I had expressed this to the manager and told them I couldn’t stay as the screaming and shouting had persisted after he had asked them to be quiet. I was then told that they would not refund me. I had checked in and was in the room for all of half an hour, did not use the bed or make a mess. Absolutely horrendous that booking.com still associates with this abhorrent business.

No contact from reception as we were checking in late. When we arrived the hotel looked like it was closed/had long term tenants. I rang the reception and they advised me to go to another hotel over the road and keys would be in the room. There were no keys in the room but the beds were clean and comfy. A very different check in process.

The stab marks in exterior of the entry door; the missing door chain (just a chair to wedge against the door for security); the missing light bulbs; the broken power points; the filthy bedspreads; dirty floors and surfaces; the unsavoury stain on the inside of the bathroom door; inadequate crockery/cutlery for the number of occupants - but decided not to eat in our room anyway as we deemed too unhygienic; the complete lack of onsite presence for reception or assistance; the disconcerting noises through the night; inadequate space between the beds - almost sleeping face-to-face; TV didn't work; full payment removed from our account on booking

Quiet location.

I was put into another motel across the road, not the one I booked. Rooms were sub par compared what I actually booked. Kids screaming in the next room between 2am and 4am. Advised the owner of this and requested another room was advised he will give me one next time I come back not for the next 2 nights that I had already paid for.
