Rodeway Inn & Suites Austin I-90

I would not recommend coming here if you looking for professionalism which this place lacks big time! I had a room reserved for 2 nights.., Thanksgiving being the first night of 2. I had went there with my pregnant fiancé to check in and nobody was at the front desk, so I had to dial the motel phone and a staff member who claimed to be maintenance or something like that came from one of the rooms to assist me and he said that he couldn’t assist me in checking me in cause I booked the room through a third party and claimed he didn’t know how to pull that up and said the manager wasn’t there and that he should be back in a few hours so I’m like okay it’s Thanksgiving that makes sense so I go with my fiancé to her families which is only a few blocks away then we came back after those few hours have passed and a different guy assured me this time and said the manager still wasn’t there and that he’d be there in like 15 mins. Me and my fiancé wait about 30mins in the parking lot until FINALLY the manager comes in, so then we got checked in. Like I get it that it was the holidays but if you running a business and you are gone you should have someone there an employee who is trained and can assist people in your absence! The very next morning me and my fiancé were in bed still when all of a sudden the door opened and it’s a staff member, he immediately apologized and walked out. I am a light sleeper and got up immediately and went outside and confronted him because they should know what rooms are occupied and which ones aren’t! Then me and my fiancé left to her mother’s just a few blocks away then we came back to get her wallet and as we are pulling up to our room at the motel we see 2 staff members go up to our door and open it so I get out of the car befuddled and talked to the guy and he claimed he got our room mixed up and I’m like well now this is the second time this is happening! He then apologized and went and got one of those do not disturb signs to put on our door which should’ve been in the room to begin with! After that happened my fiancé didn’t feel safe there no longer because the place lacks security and has a lot of dope heads in that area, the staff might’ve been on drugs themselves to be honest. So for the second night we had our dog with us for our security system. I’m just glad we didn’t have any valuable items with us cause they might’ve been tampered with. I would not recommend nobody going here as the place is run down and has very poor management.

Front desk lady was by far the rudest person we have ever come across. 730 at night and she comes over to our room either drunk or high in front of my kids asking what the hell we are doing because my husband went to wrong room. We were dropping stuff off at our room. She treated us as criminals. Then when we asked her what was the problem she turned around and flicked us off. Next morning asked for management info and she wouldn't give it out she said shes the manager and been there for 14 years. I asked her for a receipt and she asked me why when we paid cash. We checked out like at 630am because she made our experience there the worst.... Very unprofessional.... also the room was dirty, broken ac unit, she gave us a used suave bottle to use for shampoo....

I needed to change my arrival date - spent 2 days trying to call hotel with no answer. I talked to one of your people, they said they would handle it and I would be emailed in 72 hours. There was no email from you. I arrive at hotel, office is closed with no way to reach anyone. I went to another hotel. Please confirm that I was not charged by the Roadway Inn & Suites.

There was a fire. No rooms available and no one told me.

They had a fire and didn't call or let us know.. We were lucky to find a place to stay overnight

They were closed, but didn't contact me to cancel reservation. They didn't even have a sign in office stating they had a fire in one unit 2 weeks before and would be closed for 2 months.

This place is so sketchy and scary! Spend the same amount of money and to go a Super 8 on the other side of town. They double booked the room I was to stay in so they offered to upgrade me to whirlpool suite. I got in that Suite & clearly maintenance was working on the toilet & whirlpool tub as it was filthy dirty and tools everywhere. I went back to the desk to let her know it was not ready for a guest so they moved me to another king bedroom suit-- very large, lots of space, 3 beds -- but the lock on the door did not work, anyone could walk in any time, doors slamming w/loud voices right outside my door until well after 1:00 AM and no noise cancellation - like the walls are paper thin. You could almost talk to the person the next room through the walls. Two TV's - No Remotes so they don't work. The beds in my final room looked like a maid recently put blankets on it but the pillows were all askew like someone just took a nap in the bed 10 minutes ago. I felt I had to keep getting up every hour through the night to check the parking lot to be sure my vehicle was still there and not stolen. Would not stay here again, although one of the Nicer Hotels in town should definitely pouch the front desk staff people here as they are 5 Star all the way, but this hotel is not.

Property was clean and maintained. Older property and run by a private individual. Loved the hospitality, room wasn’t dirty: clean bedding, towels, bathroom. Had its quirks due to its age. Loved being able to pull up to my room and enter right from the lot and not needing to go through a lobby or hallway. Amenities and furniture were on point.
