Ideal hotel for local bars and metro into Toon, friendly welcoming staff, good size rooms very clean

Nice area with many dining options

Perfect location. We attended a festival at towns moor and it was only a 10-15 minute walk. Right on the main road where all bars/eating places are which was good. Room clean and decorated nice. However - Room was wayyyy too hot. We didn’t sleep properly because of this. And walls are very thin could hear every thing from other rooms and every time next door moved/went to the toilet/put their shower on. We were also disappointed that we couldn’t check in slightly earlier than 3. I contacted the day before and they said to ring on the day to sort out which I did and he still couldn’t give us a room earlier, I had to get ready for my event in the hotel toilets. We had no where to even put our bags as the partner hotel we were put in across the road wasn’t staffed with anyone on reception.

We booked a superior room sadly did not live up to expectations. Put a damper on the stay

Room was clean enough for the duration of out stay. We had to ask for replacement towels as we were staying for 4 days. For the duration of our stay the sheets on our bed were not changed at any point. Staff were friendly enough. Car parking was available on a first come first served basis and dependant when you parked you ran the risk of being hemmed in as parking were two to a slot front to back for up to 12 spaces. Spaces were quite tight to get into or out off. The room was ok but could have done with some upgrading - parts missing off the bathroom rail heater, mould around the shower basin and some wall paper pealing. Price was reasonable for the area.

Worst stay i have had at any hotel in my life in UK, Europe. Newcastle born, knowing Jesmond, I had to tolerate inaction after dialling zero to switchboard as my partner and her 14 year old did not sleep all night, due to a group of horrendous drunk lout girls making incredible noise!!!! No follow up customer service having complained through appropriate channels at midnight and before checking out.

Property is nice, everyone is friendly, parking is not straightforward. Spaces are available but doubled up, blocking in looks problematic
