Park Lodge Guest House

We just loved our host. She is such a character. And the set breakfast tabel was an absolute winner! De beds are comfortable and our rooms were quiet. The location is just perfect. Only a few steps from the beach and boulevard. We also discovered that the accommodation featured in TV series Vera (S12E3). Which was a great surprise as we are fans of the series.

The bed was comfy but that’s all that was good about the room the walk to the beach was short

I booked online and when we arrived at the guest house we rang to say we had arrived there was no answer so rang again the lady answered so I said we had reserved a room on line she then opened the door and we were treated with a very rude elderly lady who went on to say in a very rude voice why have you booked online you should of rang me to then say it cost her a lot of money when people book online she finally let us in and my husband went on to let her know we had booked into another hotel but couldn’t stay there has it was disgustingly dirty so had found her guest house she went on to say oh well you won’t get that here! When we entered the room there were no towels, no cups and very dusty all around and a lot of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. It cost 130 pound for the night so wasn’t exactly cheap would of expected more for that money breakfast was in with that price but didn’t stay to find out what it would of been like

The host was lovely and friendly and told me best place to go for Fish and Chips. The room was clean and had all that I needed, with the extra little touch of a KitKat with the tea facilities which was welcome after a long journey. The breakfast was lovely.

The location was perfect and the host was friendly and informative of anything we asked .

It was a very nice old house and a perfect location for all local amenities.

Beautiful room nicely decorated with everything we needed. Comfortable bed with nice bedding. Great location. Lovely cooked breakfast. Liz the owner is really nice. We would definitely stay here again if we’re back in Whitley Bay.
