Sunset Beach Club Hotel Apartments

The staff were lovely - friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms we ended up in were also amazing.

3 main issues. 1. We paid for half board. Selection wasn't bad, but several times the food was lukewarm, despite us getting there shortly after it opened for the meal, and one was just undercooked (risotto). 2. The pools are a bit of a pain. Outside there's a paddling pond for kids, a mixed pool for kids/adults where they do various activities, and the main pool. Problem with the main pool is most of it is >2m deep, and there's nowhere to sit, stand, rest, or hold on to; so everyone ends up squashed into the smallest shallow section. Also no shade over any of the pools. 3. The 2 room apartments are advertised as two rooms with two bathrooms, each with bath/shower. One was fine, but the other - the shower is so small my shoulders touched the wall on each side once I stepped in. Can't turn around, can't bend down - no room for it. I'm 1.8m, and 78kg - that shower would probably work for a child, but otherwise it's not functional. It's not like this was super cheap either - 7 nights for the apartment was ~€2800. I don't expect luxury for that, but a shower I can actually use and the food to be reliably hot doesn't seem like an unreasonable expectation.
