Nice hotel being modernized. Wish our room had AC, but since it is not common to need not an issue. The other room of our party had AC. We did have a sea view.

We paid for a sea view upgrade but was very disappointed as the view was awful with a tiny glimpse of the sea! Do not accept room 73 as a sea view.

Friendly and helpful staff, perfect location, great value sunday lunch. Bed was a little bit too soft and the pillows were a bit too bulky for our taste but you can blame that on personal preference

Coped extremely well with a large mixed group of adults and children. All needs were promptly attended to, so that the diamond wedding celebration was a great success.

Quiet hotel as we stayed off peak, not sure if this would be the case in peak time as there are children's play areas and a caravan park next door. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom was tired and in need of a refurb. Menu choice in the restaurant was disappointing as was the atmosphere. Lots of comfortable rooms to relax in. Receptionist was very helpful on checkin. Its possible to walk into Teignmouth from the hotel but sensible shoes would be required and a torch if walking at night.

This is a really good family hotel, close to hood walks and with a relaxing atmosphere.

Lovely hotel, good staff and a nice south devon location

The hotel is well situated in pleasant surroundings and offers all the necessary facilities.

Initially I was happy but this was marred = when I checked in I asked for a champagne bucket with ice and two glasses for my room - I was asked if I required the champagne to go in it, I didn't as I had a very special vintage one of my own, no problem I was told - ten minutes after getting to my room I received a call from the reception stating that they prefere customers to buy champagne from them and if I still wanted the bucket then I would incur corkage which was prohibitive, this I appreciate is business like but not particularly friendly! The room had been recently decorated which was fine but masking tape was still covering the smoke detector and as such posed a danger - (the management upon my departure were apologetic and was offered a token voucher) I'm afraid that attention to detail is paramount and my dissatisfaction is reflected in my rating.

We only stayed one night but the hotel met all our needs .The staff were very helpful and friendly.
