Chambers Wildlife Rainforest Lodges

Super clean bungalow which was so well equipped with everything you need to self cater, the evening wildlife show was a highlight. It was chilly and raining during our stay so we didn’t use the pool or communal BBQ space but it looked so inviting.

Because the accommodation is in the middle of the rainforest it gets dark early in the room, so something to consider but guests are welcome to leave the lights on.

Unique, quiet, rustic, friendly staff, espresso machine in the lounge, pool for the kids, has kitchenette but is also only 10 minutes from a quaint downtown area. We ate dinner at Nick’s restaurant in town and very much enjoyed it.

Nothing, it is well suited for nature lovers.

Excellent location in the rainforest with abundant wildlife and Lake Eacham walk on your doorstep.

Beautiful quiet rainforest location. Room was big and spacious and comfortable. At night you can visit the viewing platform and wait patiently for the nocturnal animals to come . We saw the striped rare possum and bandicoots . You are very close to them . Such a wonderful experience . Yungaburra is 10 minute drive away for food . Close to lake Eacham .

It doesn’t have aircon but it does have ceiling fans and it’s cooler up there anyway . Shower pressure is minimal but that wasn’t a problem for us.

It is the most amazing place.

Hidden away in the wonderful rainforest, the lodges give you an amazing opportunity to experience “living” there, with the Australian Wildlife all around. Waking up to the sound of birds singing and chatting in the trees, then watching as they come for any fruit you have put out along your balcony. They have also set up a rustic but covered viewing gallery where they enticed possums, gliders, musky rat kangaroos and others to come very close, allowing you to watch their antics. The lodge was comfortable, spacious and once we’d used the fire…cosy and warm. There was a large communal area and a lovely pool and chilling area. All the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful.

Everything. The setting in the rainforest was wonderful, the facility has a lot of added features, the accommodation is in excellent condition and well maintained, and it was a peaceful and safe place to stay. The resident birdlife and nightly wildlife viewing was a bonus.
