Hotel Wilga by Katowice Airport

Very good service and offered dropping off to the Airport for free. Armchair was very dirty and the furniture is quite old.

I’ll start with the good - the staff I met were friendly and helpful, the hotel was quiet (I wasn’t disturbed by any other guests), the shuttle service to the airport was quick and easy, there was a good choice at breakfast (though go for breakfast as soon as it’s available or you will be faced with curling cheese/meat slices and dry/stale bread as nothing is left covered up) However The room was very worn and tired, as were the towels, cleaning could definitely be improved and stained furnishings should not be left in there following staff cleaning the rooms and a damaged toilet seat should have been replaced....i wouldn’t choose to stay here again as there look to be other options in the vicinity that are newer and possibly in better condition.

The Hotel Wilga is a bit outdated. Reception staff is friendly and helpful and the lady in restaurant is very friendly. For your overnight the perfect place to stay as the transfer to the airport is fast and professional. After my arrival back at Katowice airport the minivan was in 7 minutes after my call to pick me up so that I could collect my car, waiting for me on the free hotel parking.

The first room I got the bed was made but there were multiple hairs on the sheets. The second room was clean. Good showers, decent breakfast.

We flew into Katowice airport really late arriving at 1.00am not expected night the hotel to come and collect us. They suggested ringing them when we landed - they organised a driver and we had a couple of minutes wait for him to arrive. The hotel was around 10 minutes drive - check in was quick. Although room was basic it was clean and comfortable - ideal for an overnight stop. The staff all spoke perfect English and were very helpful. We took the hotel shuttle back to airport next morning to meet bus to Krakow - there is a small charge for this but it's worth it. Would stay there again.

Although not a contemporary hotel, it is maintained to a high standard, the room was spotlessly clean, the food of exceptional quality, and both food and drinks reasonably priced. All staff were courteous, and exceptionally willing to help. The WiFi was fast, and simple to access. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Four of us stayed here on late arrival in Poland to begin our holiday. It's in a great location for this purpose. We were lucky enough to get there before 11pm, so we could enjoy a cup of tea/coffee in the bar before going to bed. The rooms were warm and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and offered a perfectly adequate variety of food and beverages. Thank you to all concerned.

We booked at the last minute because of a flight cancellation. The process was easy. The staff are helpful and friendly. Our room and bathroom are enormous. The shower was clean and has very good pressure. It is an airport hotel that offers good value for what you need. It's also just a stone throw from the airport with free shuttle.

I booked this hotel for my friend and her son who were travelling from Tenerife back to Ukraine. As instructed, I telephoned the hotel prior to arrival (I also sent a message via Facebook) and arranged airport transfer (their flight was arriving around midnight). The girl I spoke to did not speak great English but I supplied all the detail required. However, no airport transport was arranged and my friend and her son were forced to make their own arrangements - this was most disappointing. Also, with my previous bookings through Expedia, the hotel cost has always been automatically taken from my card on arrival. This was not the case this time and my friend had to pay at the hotel. Overall a very disappointing experience !!!
