Hotel Wilga by Katowice Airport

I have been spending many weeks in WILGA hotel. Some people are charming and bedrooms are confortable however, if you stay 1 night you will appreciate the quiet rooms. I you have breakfast you will have it in an amazing noisy place where machinerie and radio are so loud that you can not expect to have a quiet breakfast in a quiet place. Cuisine from restaurant is so weak quality, at breakfast no fresh bred, no fresh butter, no fresh orange juice and as well i mentionned food is sometime spoiled such as pics in attachment. Often wine is spoiled because open bottle is left in a warm area. The pictures i am showing are just few samples as i could not take evidences of everything i observed. It is a pity that management do not consider customers in a better maneer. Once again better to go for sleeping but not for eating.

The place is very close to Katovice airport - app 5 minute drive - which was on top of our requirements. One direction (to or from the airport) is included and additional direction cost 10 PLN/per person; a telephone call is required and transportation arrive in a short while. Price for double room - 50€ including a rich tasety breakfast.

האיסוף מהשדה וההעברה למלון היתה כנדרש. החדר שקבלנו היה ענק (דירה ממש). ארוחת הבוקר היתה בסיסית ביותר וההסעה חזרה לטרמינל היתה כפי שבקשנו. סה"כ מלון טוב ובמחיר סביר ביותר.

We arrived early evening without reservation, but with an internet price. 'We cannot work with the price as you have no booking.' The price we had to pay was more than double. Nevertheless we did as it was just one night. It just wasn't our day I think as several things within this short time span went wrong unfortunately. We will not go there again.

Stayed here for 1 night before moving on for business. Upon arrival there was a confusion with the amount of nights that had been been booked. The receptionist was very rude and was shouting at us. The rooms were okay but the walls are very thin and slamming doors woke us up. We left the hotel only to be given a till receipt for payment. I contacted them on my return as it was for business we needed an invoice. No reply was given and I asked again and to be fair it was three months later as it was being questioned by the company accounts. The reply was quite abrupt and they are unable to provide an invoice without the receipt which i struggle to believe I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

I stayed at the hotel for less than 8 hours since I was catching an early morning flight. The room was typical, but the bathroom had been renovated. Wifi was good, noise level was not bad from outside, but there were some noisy guests in adjacent rooms. The hotel shuttle was available even at 4:30a. It's a short, ~5 minute ride to the airport. There are several other hotels adjacent, but nothing else in terms of dining.

Zur Übernachtung bei Abflug Airport Katowice bestens geeignet, die Ausschilderung könnte besser sein, da mein Mercedes Navi die Adresse nicht findet.

I'm not sure, but I think we got our room upgraded. A very positive stay and really close to the airport.

The hotel receptionist was wonderful and kind. She was very nice and helped us organize the shuttle in the morning to the airport.
