Hotel Wilga by Katowice Airport

It's a relaxing think that you're not worried from traffic to the airport...

Good quiet area to relax food was excellent and reasonable not a place for sightseeing only one small grocery store close by nothing to occupy children.

Clean. Ample space in room. Affordable.I stayed there before my flight and they arranged transport to airport!

Hotel was fine & service ok but too quiet. Hardly anybody there. It is nowhere near anywhere, so nothing to walk out to or eat elsewhere if required.

The service at the front desk was great, as was the pick up service at the airport. But the hotel is a relic from the 1950s. The breakfast was not good at all - a slice of watermelon was actually rancid. Too much breakfast meat and not enough of anything else. The room was clean and fine for what it was - but I have stayed at other airport hotels that were much nicer and more modern.

This is a typical airport hotel - if your flight is at 6:00 am - that is the way to do it. Otherwise, this is a hotel in the middle of nowhere. The only purpose is to be close to the airport in the morning. Service etc are fine.

Very convenient and comfortable for an overnight stay before an early morning flight. Shuttle bus was free and very quick.

The main reason I picked this hotel was that it's located some 10 min drive from Katowice airport -- since I had an early flight next morning, it was best to stay overnight at Wilga hotel rather than travel to the airport from a more remote location. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff have been friendly and helpful. The hotel offers the guests airport transfer in their car (free ride from airport to hotel, and a PLN 10 fee for the transfer back), just call them from the airport and you will be picked up. It is in a neighbourhood that looks like a residential area for a former air-force base; nothing exciting.

Good clean hotel at the right price near the airport. Pick up free at any hour, rooms big with TV. The only thing to let it down was lack of coffee making equipment in the room. Will use again.
