Candlewood Suites Georgetown by IHG

Location fine. I did not have the breakfast.

I requested a one hour early check in because of my schedule, but you could not accommodate it. On the app it said something went wrong, but it was not specific to say you will not be able to check in early. Also there were a lot of Hispanic men lottering in the hallways.

The staff was great, but once we got in the room that’s where it gets 1 star, the room is infested with roaches around the kitchenette. We went to the store to buy roach sticky pads and I wish I could post the picture of the amount of roaches were stuck on it. It definitely wasn’t worth the price I paid for and the rating is wrong, it should be rated 3 out of 10. It was definitely one of the worst hotels we have stayed in. I hope this review gets posted to help future travelers.

Front desk was very friendly and efficient. The room was clean but had water stains on the ceiling and soap dispenser was coming off the wall. So needs updating. When I made the reservation said last Queen room left at the price. There were only 7 cars in the parking lot both in the evening and next morning so I doubt that. Made the reservation a month in advance and rooms were cheaper the day of arrival. So the value definitely wasn’t there.

Nice hotel and location

Great for blue collar workers staying weeks at a time but not good for families or single women traveling. No ice machine on the property either.

Roach crawled across the bed and freakede out.

The hotel was very clean, front desk very polite, room was nice because there was a full fridge , burners and microwave. Bed was very comfortable.

It was close to where we needed to be. The staff was wonderful.

No hot water. I had to call and call and call requesting hot water. I got very sick with a migraine on day 2 and desperately needed a hot shower and I was told they were “starting the boiler” and I called and messages over and over. No hot water ever came. I literally had to boil water over a 30 minute period just so I could wash myself off. I also discovered over 10 individual prescription pills under the bed. I was able to collect some and showed the front desk worker but there were others I could not reach . I googled them : high blood pressure as well as Teamadol. I’m thankful my grandbaby didn’t come with us- he would have found them and been rushed to the hospital for sure. There was uncooked rice here and there on the floor as well. And I let the front desk know that the comforter smelled strongly of body odor. My daughter actually went to Target and bought us blankets.
