Breakfast was very good. There were a lot of choices, and food was replenished quite often. The woman who was working in the breakfast area was exceptionally polite and helpful! there were plenty pf seats and tables available>

We enjoyed the space of this room, made traveling with a toddler and a teen calmer. The bed wasn’t comfortable and the pillows were very thin. But everywhere was clean. I’d definitely stay here again.

"Okay for Quick Stay"

Stayed at this hotel for one night while on a road trip, we got in late and left early so did not have time to check out the pool and fitness center but both looked nice. The room was spacious and for the most part clean but late at night when adjusting the blower in the living room area, the grill to the blower was very dirty, something black and sticky, stuck in the vent. Too late to call about it so just shut that blower off. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast buffet was okay, the staff there were very helpful and pleasant, and the seating area was comfortable. Hotel looks like it could use some updating. I’ve stayed in many Homewood Suites, some for extended periods, and I wouldn’t recommend for an extended stay, but was good enough for a quick overnight while on the road.

The breakfast was excellent, delicious and varied, with the main dish changing daily, which was a nice touch. The location is beautiful and adds to the overall experience. However, the housekeeping service was disappointing. During our five-day stay, the beds were never made, not even once! Trash was only taken out a single time. One of the simple pleasures of staying in a hotel is returning to a freshly made bed and a tidy room, and unfortunately, that was missing here. I’m not sure if this is a new policy, but it definitely took away from the comfort of the stay.

"Come In, But Don't Go In"

My husband booked this property for me based upon our previous stays. The customer care is always top notch. The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. And the pool and hot tub is an added bonus. In fact, it has become our standard go-to when we visit the Central Texas area. As such, we are familiar with the after hours safety protocol of the front entrance door being locked 11pm-6am. Long story short, my flight was delayed. And I didn't arrive at the hotel until 3am. I was shocked to discover I didn't have to use the intercom because the doors automatically opened for me and my grandkids. And we walked right in. When we approached the check in counter, there was another sign posted by Hunter (clerk), stating to come find him in the dining area. (I didn't think to take a picture of that sign at that particular moment.) When I voiced my concern to Hunter about security being compromised because of the doors being unlocked, he dismissed it by reinforcing the fact that he was doing breakfast setup. And for him, it was easier to just leave the door unlocked. And here I am thinking that a simple solution is to lock the door and use a hand held two way radio. Hunter completed my check in, gave me key cards, and my grandkids and I went to my room. The keys were inoperable. So we had to go back to front counter. New keys were made but they still didn't work. Hunter came to see what was going on. I demonstrated that neither key unlocked the door. Hunter took one of the keys and gave it a try. It worked. So I tested both keys again in his presence. One key didn't work at all. The other one finally worked after multiple times of inserting/removing it from the card reader. He blamed me for the inoperable keys by saying I was either doing it too fast or too slow. And I wasn't giving the mechanism ample time to register. Please keep in mind that one of the keys didn't work at all. I saw Jeremy Connell (manager) later in the day as we were exiting the room. He greeted me and asked how my stay was so far. I demonstrated the key failures to him. He apologized and went and made new keys. When he tested them, they failed too. His professional expertise concluded the issue to be low/dead batteries in the key card reader. He had the issue resolved by the time I returned. (Thank you, Jeremy.) Lety Segovia is the kitchen lead. My husband and I met her during our first stay. And we have encountered her since then. Lety is always nice, friendly, and engaging. Dining areas are clean, and food selections are continuously checked and replaced as needed. Alicyn provided a friendly and courteous check out experience. Although those three ensured the overall customer care was intact, I have to rate this particular experience low. I was initially on heightened alert due to unsecured front doors. And inoperable key cards to the room meant I couldn't quickly enter and lock the door should the need arise. I easily got in where I wasn't supposed to have easy access and couldn't get in where I was supposed to have easy access. That is not okay.
