Homewood Suites by Hilton Rockville- Gaithersburg

We’ve been coming here for years for family visits and holidays and it feels like a home away from home. Clean, comfortable, spacious, great location and free breakfast!

When I saw some staff touching bread without gloves it threw me off the food. Also there was a big beetle when I pulled the curtains in my room and I had to call the front desk for help.

Less options specifically HALAL options aren’t there at all.

Food was good and rooms were clean

Only 1 elevator operational. Pets, no one seems to care about the customers who have extreme allergies to pets/dander. Pets being brought around the food during breakfast. All pets do not like children, one dog in particular was on our floor (3rd) and his owners didn't seem to have control over his temperament, he continued to bark and growl. I had 9 girls there for a sleepover and 3paid rooms. I also had to continually go down to the reception desk to have my room keys reprogrammed to get into our rooms, totally inconvenient. There was only one staff who was Amazing (Kelly)but she was running to both hotels Hilton Gardens and Homewood Suites. It was even worse the next morning with the room keys and they finally had to send the maintenance engineer to let us in our rooms. We weren't the only customers experiencing this type of lock out. Even after the engineer left it happened again. Horrific, no credit offered, no type of anything to attempt to accommodate us for the inconvenience at all. Just an I'm sorry its the machine. So what about your elevator? I spent almost a thousand dollars on my granddaughters 8th birthday party and I was in the hallway more than I was able to be on her festivities waiting for key cards. Unacceptable. The Hiltons, Paris Hilton or anyone related to the Hilton Brand by name should really make this right.

Staff were incredible. Reception staff were super friendly and helpful. Marisa in the restaurant was lovely, greeted us with such warmth every day.
