La Morada

I've visited San Miguel for many years now. Having stayed at many hotels close to the town center, our favorite is La Morada. We now return there with each visit. The rooms are very contemporary, stylish, clean, and quiet. There is always someone on staff during business hours that speaks English. They helped us with taxis, covid testing, on call doctor, and more. At check in... we arrive, give them our name, and they hand us the key. Its that easy. All rooms are beautiful, and baths up to date. Some rooms have views. Some have air conditioners. Request your preference. In May its chilly cool in the morning, and hot in the afternoon. The best for under $200 / night for two queens.

This is a wonderful property, located within crawling distance of the jardín. The exterior is nondescript, and the entrance and check in area are small—suggesting that what lies ahead may be disappointing. However, the interior gives quite a different impression. We had a large, ground floor room—one of several rooms surrounding a large, private interior patio which is a great escape from the city. The staff and service were great. We hope to stay there again.

The hotels location is superb and close to all the sites and points of interest. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was clean and updated but some of the furniture and woodwork need some tlc. The hotel provided offsite parking which was a plus.

Everything close to Downtown & service was the best
