Outstanding in everyway! Location is beautiful. Staff are so professional and friendly. Rooms are absolutely beautiful with every little extra touch you could think of. Would highly recommend

Very comfortable room, lovely shower room (underfloor heating!), good location.

Dogs. One jumped up at my chair as the owners were coming into breakfast. I realise this is largely out of the hotel's control.

Nice interior decor, with period features, decent choice of beverages in the rooms.

The staff seemed a little vague and didn't make any attempt to make us feel welcome. We asked the lady behind the bar what spiced rums they had in which she replied they are all on the top shelf and walked away. When we did finally order our drinks she couldn't remember what we asked for and continued asking several time what the order was.! First morning going into breakfast we were not welcomed or shown anything, the food was constantly running low and had to keep asking for items to be refilled.

Decor and atmosphere at Christmas

The cocktails were not quite up to the same standard as the year before. Although it was a great atmosphere, some of the christmas decorations were a bit sparse.
