Our quiet spacious bedroom Massage Treatment with Gio Breakfast

It was very very warm especially in the rooms upstairs. Has to keep the window open. Limescale in the bedroom kettle Restaurant meal fell short - Cauliflower steak was undercooked so couldn’t eat half of it, the pudding was tasteless. A real shame!

Breakfast was good the room very relaxing and a good menu. Perhaps more health conscious yoghurt and more interesting juices.

The lighting in bedroom and perhaps some of the interior design needs a rethink.

The breakfast was excellent on both days. Fresh, well presented and delicious. The most impressive elements for me were the staff were all highly motivated, charming and helpful. Nothing was a problem. The eye for detail in all aspects of the interior and exterior of the hotel was impressive and impeccable.

I have thought long and hard to find a fault, but I have failed!!

The breakfast felt a little tired, yet we were half an hour before service closure so it shouldnt have been.

Everything was good, but overpriced.

The room was smaller than expected

Extremely comfortable, well equipped and nicely presented rooms in a historically interesting building, in turn in a lovely small town/village on the River Test. Breakfast and dinner menus both excellent, with good friendly service. But above all, the staff were brilliant. We had the misfortune of my wife (through no fault of the hotel) suddenly becoming seriously ill, resulting in hospitalisation; all the staff were very supportive, including the manager taking me to the hospital in his car (we did not have one). We are very grateful for the kindness shown.
