Southern Cross Atrium Apartments

I was able to secure a downstairs apartment on request which was helpful because my Mum uses a walking frame. The pool was lovely and it was great to have access to the pool from the balcony of the apartment. Beers from reception were very cheap.

I made a request for two single beds - as I was travelling with my brother. However, the apartment had a double bed only, and no couch. Thankfully the base of the double bed was two singles, which we were able to separate. However, this was an extra job for us. The biggest issue was the Wifi. It's terrible. There was next to no reception for internet or mobile phone calls for the entire trip. We needed to use our laptops for work and also make phone calls and reception continually cut in and out. It was so frustrating, and in this day and age, unacceptable. When attempting to purchase drinks in reception, we were told that our card was declined for no funds, which wasn't the issue at all - the EFTPOS machine wasn't working properly because of the terrible internet connection.

Very conveniently placed for the restaurants and shopping centre,only a short 15 min walk to the foreshore

Instructions on how to set up the safe need updating as even the staff we had to call out said they were wrong.instructions are needed on how to turn on the power for cooking

Il ragazzo che ci ha accolto è stato molto cordiale, illustrando anche possibili escursioni e tour disponibili. il complesso dispone di postazioni bbq da poter utilizzare liberamente fino ad un certo orario. C'è anche una piscina che non abbiamo utilizzato e gli appartamenti sono molto vicini al grande centro commerciale della città. In 20 min a piedi si raggiunge il lungomare.

una volta effettuato il check in ci siamo resi conto che le lenzuola presentavano diverse macchie e capelli. Una volta riferito il problema alla reception ci hanno solamente fornito delle lenzuola pulite che però abbiamo dovuto cambiare noi visto che loro forniscono solo la pulizia iniziale dell'appartamento. Il ventilatore presente sul soffitto è decisamente troppo basso visto che si rischia di colpire le pale togliendosi la maglietta. Inoltre il condizionatore è puntato sui cuscini del letto e quindi risulta fastidioso se lasciato acceso anche a bassa potenza. La nostra stanza affacciava sull'area di raccolta dei rifiuti, con conseguente fastidio causato dallo svuotamento dei cassonetti effettuato la mattina presto.

Close to everything. Apartment clean and spacious.

The shower/bath had a big step up into it. Would be difficult with someone with a disability.

Good location, close to cairns central and 10 minute walk from all restaurants. Room was a decent size and clean on arrival. Nice pools.

No room maintenance during our 5 day stay. Would have appreciated a room refresh at some point. Not great storage for clothes for 2 adults. Only 2 small baskets and a short clothes rail.
