Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good and nice variety. Dinner good value for money. Pub decorated really prettily for Christmas, giving a nice atmosphere and an interesting history. Lovely little village location - enjoyed a walk up to the church on a lovely sunny winter's morning. Great location for visiting nearby towns and attractions.

Out room was next to the extractor fans, which were a bit of a distraction in the evening (but went off about 10ish).

Beautiful old pub

Room to small! Would be better as a single. Bathroom tiny - my husband complained that if he stood to use the toilet his bum rested in the sink. The sink was dirty with a brown ring around the waste pipe. Got the impression that you tried to squeeze in more rooms than the building warrants. Cleanliness and presentation not brilliant - towel and bedding clean but towels appeared to have been thrown onto shelf and pillows looked as though someone had just been lying on them. The beds were comfortable. Area designated for kettle etc too small. Unable to reach sockets as behind bed - very small bedside table - unable to open window fully due to security lock. Windows covered in cobwebs.
