Lovely stay, staff were excellent
I booked this for my elderly parents as they have stayed there in the past. It is mostly an older building so I doubt I will book again as my dad found the stairs particularly difficult (90 & has had a hip replacement). The room was used to sleep in & get ready the following day. My dad slept well having driven from north Norfolk & had no nap during the day. My mum did not get to sleep until after 2am due to the noise from the heating/plumbing pipework outside in the courtyard. Although the water had been hot on arrival, the following morning there was no hot water and no soap in the dispenser. The room was clean, tea & coffee provided, staff were professional.
Overall a decent hotel with good facilities
Great adequate room. Lovely rain shower. Good large tv. The establishment was short staffed everywhere although those on duty were constantly apologetic and certainly exceeded in customer service. Well done everyone.
Very welcoming, brilliant breakfast, comfortable rooms with plenty of hot water. Probably could have done with a couple more staff working.
Another good stay here, breakfast is OK bar of an evening is typically busy. Room was a bit tired and could do with a bit of a refurbishment other wise it’s a well positioned place to spend the weekend
I had a great stay at the white horse. I was made to feel very welcome and the room was of a good size. I had a really good sleep in the comfortable bed and would definitely return. I can’t believe how little I paid for such a great experience. I’ve paid double the amount and not had such a nice room. I really think they are selling their rooms at too cheap a price!

Bit of a palaver at check-in when they thought initially I hadn’t paid, but soon sorted out. Good bar staff and food, and breakfast was cooked skilfully and hot. More confusion over my breakfast being included in my price, which again was sorted but special mention to Monique at breakfast service who is clearly a credit to Greene King, not only sorting my issues but also imparting good information on the surrounding area.
Nice easy check in, plenty of parking… Nice bar with plenty of entertainment
