Room 24 was up some very steep stairs which were quite challenging for 82 year olds.value

We like staying at the George, this isour second time, we love how everything including the station, shops, restaurants are all so close by.

The heating was not on and needed the small blow heater in our bedroom. Saturday night we met with family for evening meal and the dining room was so cold with no heating on. I asked if we could have heating on as we felt very cold. Staff were happy to help and we appreciated it.

No breakfast, too expensive. Location good, car park excellent.

Some staff excellent, o ne very hostile.

Extremely old and dated rooms. The curtains were dirty with holes in. The corners of the bath were mouldy. The food was very poor well done lasagna with burnt crunchy pasta and tasteless meat. Would recommend going to the olmo lounge to eat instead along the road

A nice variety of hot dishes at breakfast and the hotel is right in the heart of the old town and less than 10 minutes walk from the station.

Not much choice on the dinner menu and the scampi I ordered turned out to be tasteless scampi bites. Could have done with a plug socket near the bed.
