St Leonard's Hotel by Greene King Inns

Really pleased to have found a pleasant place to stay pre-flight that didn’t charge a fortune. Lovely room with a view of the woodland - just too stormy to appreciate sitting outside! Will definitely use again as they offer blue light discount too.

The property had obviously been refurbished fairly recently as it was nice and clean and everything worked. Good breakfast cooked to order

further clarity of the peculiar car registration scheme when parking would be useful. Still unclear if we registered at checkin or not

One night stay

A warm welcome when we booked in. When going to our room there was four uneven stairs which could easily throw you off balance. Room looked good on entry with views over garden. Bathroom- there was NO hot water . This was reported to the staff. And somehow when we went to the room again the hot water was there!!! Food was acceptable. The evening meal - I ordered the risotto. When it came the rice was NOT COOKED, so I sent it back! I had in its place the hunters chicken which was lovely. The breakfast the next morning I ordered scrambled egg and smoked salmon. The bread was an inch thick!! The smoked salmon was put on top Of that and the scrambled egg on top of that? I’m sorry to say but it was like eating poached salmon and then the bread became soggy! There was not enough light in the room for Putting makeup on and also the heating didn’t come on in the morning when getting up and it was cold with NO HOT WATER!

Stayed here a few times and it’s always been great. The staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is nice and so is the lunch/evening food.

An additional night for my mother in law to stay in her favourite place near to an old friend in New Forest & easy access to shopping in Christchurch. Thoroughly enjoyed it with very helpful friendly staff. Went to see the Pannaging pigs

Good clean room. Comfortable bed Powerful shower -excellent Food - ok not really much taste. Prawn cocktail wasnt brilliant , lettuce wasnt washed, not many prawns. Steak cooked to well (which i asked for) but not much taste to the meat. Would stay again maybe not dine.
