Dornoch Castle Hotel

Very welcoming staff and service throughout the stay. Dinner in the bar was good .

The carpet in the room was dirty and stained. The shower head was disgusting, lighting was poor and the quality of the towels was old and grey. Tea and coffee were provided in the room but no milk. There was a chemical smell in the the corridor to the bedrooms which was unexplained. Car park is very tiny with tight access which should be advised on booking otherwise you have to park on the roadside. We didnt realise the hotel had a whiskey bar when we booked, be prepared for noisy guests chattering about and banging doors until after midnight.

The in brindecor, staff very accommodating, food in restaurants was very he was good

Room was on the 4th floor & no elevator. Staff was very helpful in bringing luggage up the stairs

Very thin walls you could hear people snoring and unfortunate bed coupled with poor breakfast

Breakfast was a self service buffet, liked the home made granola.

It is an old building but the room was in good condition and clean. It quite a maze so make sure you note the way to your room!🤪 Breakfast was actually better than we anticipated. We expected a basic continental style but they also had some bacon and fried eggs on the buffet AND the eggs were warm!😀 a comfortable and convenient place to stay and good value.
