The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Great location and definitely a plus to have parking.

Breakfast menu had a good choice but was let down by the quality of the coffee.

Excellent location on Marlborough high street. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Old decor, peeling mouldy paint on the windows in the bedroom and bathroom. Heavily marked shower hose with limescale Food was mediocre.

Just about everything. Will keep coming back.

It was a very hot day/night and the fan provided was small and couldn't be plugged in anywhere near the bed. There were two windows, but one did not open and the other could only be opened about 10cm. We were on the 2nd floor, so it was pretty sweltering. The shower did not have enough pressure--it dribbled out when attached to the fixture on the wall (so you had to squeeze in underneath the fixture to use it hands-free) or just take the shower off the wall and use it by hand. Hard to wash hair that way! There were no power outlets anywhere near the bed. We had paid extra for a 'superior' room and along with the shortcomings described above, it was also quite dated -- the tables were all scratched and watermarked, the toilet was cracked, etc.

Lovely room, comfortable bed. Good ensuite bathroom. Good quality, value for money dining. Excellent location in the centre of Marlborough. Free parking. The reception staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful.

Just the downside of a pub - early morning beer delivery. And the downside of an old building - lots of creaking floors. BUT not enough to stop me going back.
