This is the second time we visited Tilajari. We didnt have a reservation but showed up and reception was really accommodating and found a great family room for the 5 of us. We checked in at 5:30 and asked about the 6pm frog tour. It was a little last minute and we were told that there wasn’t enough time to arrange the guide. 10 minutes later I got a call saying that they had arranged it and Pedrito took us on the tour. He was so personable and informative, great with the kids, and taught us a lot about frogs, and also plants, insects and trees. So pleased we were accommodated! After the tour we went to the onsite restaurant where both Harvey and Bryan served us. We were exceptionally impressed with the quality of the food, but even more with the quality of the service. Both gentlemen have excellent English (and obviously Spanish), joked around and were very attentive to all aspects of the meal including keeping drinks full and interacting with our kids. Just an overall excellent experience and very happy with the entire resort. Thanks again.

What a wonderful property, great staff and if you need anything just ask Harvey he will hook you up. The rooms clean and spacious with a beautiful balcony over looking the San Carlos River. And during your staying you must do the lazy river raft float. Ask for Pedro and Kevin.

This was my third trip to Costa Rica, and because I had such great experiences the first two times I wondered if this one was going to live up to the fantasy I have created in my mind. I must say, I was delighted with every aspect of this trip. The stay at Tilajari was more than I could have dreamed of. When we arrived, we were greeted by Maureen. She was extremely helpful and gave us information on dinner, the eco tour held in the morning, and the location of the room. During our visit, the reception staff, including Maureen, Gustavo, and Albin, were immensely helpful in providing information about activities at and away from the property. The property was natural and beautifully maintained. Our room consisted of two beds and overlooked the river. The overall impression of the room is it was beautifully furnished and well maintained. The wood ceilings were beautiful. There was a nicely sized balcony overlooking the river. It was a beautiful place to enjoy a bottle of wine and relax after a long day. The stone floor and the windows allowing the transfer of fresh air in the bathroom gave a spa aesthetic. Lucia did a wonderful job with housekeeping. We had several meals at the restaurant and indulged in a variety of drinks from the bar. Restaurant Manager Bryan was very welcoming, and the service received was impeccable. Everyone took the time to explain available items to us and gave us numerous recommendations inspiring us to explore new drinks and food items. When the staff became aware of our preferences, they offered suggestions and served us drinks that were amazing. In the morning, the fruit placed out for the animals made breakfast magical. Watching the colorful birds and various iguanas of all sizes was an unforgettable experience. The vast selection of items on the buffet and the quality of the plated breakfast was impeccable. During my visit, I experienced the best dinner presentation and quality of meal that I have ever received. Although I was unable to participate in the eco tour in the morning due to fatigue, my travel companion did attend. She subsequently introduced me to the owl family residing in the tree outside our room and shared comprehensive information she acquired during the tour. Both of us attended the coffee session in the afternoon. Jose and Diego gave a special presentation. Although I am not a big coffee drinker, I enjoyed learning about the history of coffee in Costa Rica and enjoyed exploring the different methods of brewing coffee and the outcomes. I look forward to the day I can return to Tilajari as it was a memorable and unforgettable experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and are interested in visiting more Hamilton Leisure properties in the future.

Had an amazing presentation with Diego Sequeira.Very informative coffee history of Costa Rica coffee.He made us a French press and a pour over coffee.The differences were quite remarkable.Thank you for a great experience!
