Martinhal Sagres Beach Family Resort Hotel

This is our second stay here. The location is lovely and even for a couple not traveling with children it is a pleasure.

The staff were attentive but the property seemed short-staffed.

Gostei demais do alojamento, pois era exatamente o que eu procurava para a minha família. Entretenimento para o meu miúdo de 11 anos e também para o de 3 anos. A simpatia da Diana que também surpreendeu meus meninos com mimos na chegada. A surpresa na casa da Villa em que ficamos.

Ficamos um pouco “perdidos” no mapa, mais pelo sentido de que só conseguimos chegar na noite de sexta feira e não deu tempo de entender muito bem a localização das coisas que precisávamos. Mas em compensação, os funcionários foram muito atenciosos. E acabamos por estender mais uma noite e podemos aproveitar melhor. Tudo maravilhoso!

Um hotel claramente desenhado para tornar inesquecível a visita de família com crianças, desde as instalações, aos horários e refeições disponíveis nos restaurantes e atividades.

We were very disappointed with our recent stay, especially considering Martinhal’s reputation as a family-focused resort. On the first day, our son became sick (likely from the food) and unfortunately vomited on the bed. We immediately contacted reception and requested cleaning, but no one came. We had to follow up multiple times, and only after the third request did someone finally arrive to clean the room. Upon arrival, we had also requested bed guards for our almost 3-year-old son. We were told they would be brought shortly, but they never arrived. The following day we asked again—more than once—and still no one brought them. As a result, our son had to sleep in a full adult bed without protection, which meant I barely slept as I was worried he might fall during the night. We had also booked the kids club, but I was informed that I could not stay with my son and had to leave him there. Given that he is not yet 3 years old, this was quite distressing for him and he immediately started crying when I tried to leave. Overall, the level of service we experienced was far below what we expected, particularly from a resort that markets itself so strongly toward families with young children. We visited during the low season, so we were especially surprised by the lack of responsiveness and support. I hope the management team takes this feedback seriously and looks into what happened during our stay, as it did not reflect the standard of service we were expecting from Martinhal.

Sehr familienfreundlich und alles sehr durchdacht. Die Apartments waren super ausgestattet und es waren auch überall Mosquitogitter angebracht. Der Strand ist wunderschön und die Auswahl der Pools ist super gewesen insbesondere dass sie beheizt sind war ein Traum. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und nett. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub! Mit kleinen Kindern sehr zu empfehlen !

Es war alles in allem ein sehr schöner Urlaub dort! Für alle Aktivitäten wurde etwas angeboten. Die Unterkunft war schön und neu.

Überall Pflastersteine aber das ist wohl in Portugal üblich. Macht es manchmal mit dem Kinderwagen echt schwer.

Perfect place to holiday in February! Surf, sunshine, morning swims, daily padel, amazing facilities and spacious accommodation.
