Hillbrook Inn & Spa

Beautiful area and the inn was incredible. Staff were very helpful making dining recommendations and the breakfast the next morning was fabulous.

The exceptional attention to detail. Loved the stay, such a beautiful and relaxing stay. Highly recommend and hope to visit again.

I booked this online for 4 people and got a confirmation for the room, but when I got there the charged me an extra $100 for extra guests plus a dinner cancellation fee and a resort fee. What was promised on Expedia was not what I got. Shame on the property and Expedia -- and I'm a longtime customer of the latter.

Unique experience overall. Great dinner. Compliments to our waitress and the chef/kitchen. It was our 1st ever meal of this kind (pick from a list on 4 courses). It was one of the best meals of our lives. We stayed in the farm house a few miles away from the main headquarters. This too was unique. The room provided a great nights sleep. Be aware there is a train in the vicinity and it was heard by my wife during the overnight hours. There is also a race course nearby that revved up engines at 8 a.m. on Saturday. It is a little odd to share a home with other guests and be disconnected from the main property. Be aware that is the case here. We had no issues. Both the hotel and dinner are a dent to the budget. Be aware that this will be a costly trip. All team members were very accommodating throughout.

The rooms and breakfast were excellent!!

I thought that the place I'd be staying was the place where you check in. I was still happy with my room at the Hawthorne House, but it threw me a little, at first, that check in was not where I would stay. I selected this establishment because I was enamored with the looks of the building that I saw in the ad for the Hillbrook Inn and Spa. Still happy overall. Also, I didn't make a reservation ahead but i decided that I wanted to get a facial at the spa. To my disappointment, the woman who does the type of facial was on vacation when I was visiting. It would be nice to have someone who can fill in when another is away.

We stayed 1 night at the Hillbrook Inn. Our son stayed in the Snuggery by himself and we stayed nearby. These rooms are on an upper level, so you have to carry your suitcases up a few stairs. The rooms were modern and well-appointed. Each room has a coffee maker, wine glasses, wine opener and fridge. The decor is very tasteful and the showers/bathroom are new! The food at the restaurant was amazing! The only option available was a wine pairings menu for $125 each. We were happy to partake in this but it didn't work well for our teenage son who is very picky. Luckily the restaurant had leftover Mac & cheese from a wedding the previous night. The breakfast was delicious and generous. Everyone was friendly and we enjoyed the lovely setting and grounds.
