Such an extra special overnight. The host is so warm and cheerful, and absolutely everything is thought out, from where to park, refreshing drinks and snack, dinner, everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We actually wished we had planned 2 nights, just to relax longer in the garden. We will definitely make this part of future trips through this area!

What a fabulous quirky place! We absolutely loved the decor and each room has its own personality. Our group of ladies booked the parakeet, flamingo and ostrich rooms. All had lovely en suite bathrooms. The beds were very comfy indeed. Such a warm welcome from Nicholas, and he was attentive and provided very helpful information. We had an evening meal on our arrival day at the hotel, which was home cooked, delicious and good vfm. The next day we had lunch out and Nicholas provided a cheese and charcuterie board as requested which was delicious and also good vfm. We loved the hot tub which we had exclusive use of at an agreed time for no additional charge. Fabulous breakfast too with a fresh home baked brioche loaf each morning. There's not a bar as such but we had gin and tonics before, wine with dinner and some cognacs and amaretto after dinner, all at a very reasonable price. Nicholas really has thought of everything!

The hotel was a bit more remote than we expected (our fault entirely) but Le Touquet and Boulogne are around an hour away, so we explored during the day. As a result, we would recommend eating at the hotel in the evening unless you want to drive; the food at the hotel is fabulous so why not anyway! However, do prebook to ensure availability.

This place was an absolute dream! It’s everything I wanted a staycation/getaway to be. Truly felt like home thanks in great part to Nico and the comfort/charm of the place. The property and rooms were just as pictured, no doctoring of images here like most places to book that look too good to be true. Stayed for dinner one of the nights and it was incredible! Highly recommend booking here :)

beautiful country house with stunning gardens and design .Nicholas, the owner, is so kind and welcoming. The meal was delicious and breakfast also. The location is perfect after driving north towards Calais, for an overnight stay. Maximum 1 hour to the tunnel or ferries.

Stayed at Maison de Plumes in end August 2022, and had the best experience ever. The service was excellent- we travelled into France by Eurotunnel and arrived close to midnight, yet our host Nicolas stayed up to welcome us, and even offered us food and drinks despite the late hour. He introduced us to the hotel and its garden, and let us enjoy the stars at midnight by turning off the outside light in the hotel for us. Despite English not being his first language, he tried his best to accommodate us, and really left an amazing impression! The hotel was as pristine and as beautiful as the pictures depicted- we took the Chambre Perroquet, a clean, well-furnished and spacious room which was also very aesthetically-designed. Breakfast the next morning had a wide variety, and we even got to meet the hotel's adorable dogs! This was our first time in the town, and left us very happy and satisfied. We will definitely be back!
