Hotel Bakkara

I enjoyed the unique location floating on the Dnipro River not far from City Center and close to subway. Great view, very nice toom, excellent staff, good breakfasts.

The Art Hotel was situated in an ideal location within close proximity to the Hydropark and Metro station. You might even get lucky and be treated to a live Jazz jam session in the middle of woodland area on the way to the Metro! The staff were very friendly and accommodation was fine and I very much enjoyed my stay here.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, a short walk through the park takes you to Hidropark Metro Station. From here you can travel a few stops to get to Independence Square. Alternatively, a walk across the bridge near the station will take you to the main island beach with all of the sporting facilities. The hotel staff were fantastic with a decent level of English spoken, the rooms are spacious with plenty of useful furniture. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was small, but well appointed and clean. Staff very friendly and food is brilliant.

Friendly hotel, not too far away from the Hydro Park stop. Good summer stay. Prices are incredibly cheap. You do need to take a taxi or metro to get to the city center. there is no real neighborhood surrounding the area. Taxi is about 5 dollars to the city center. Rooms are small, but comfortable, suggest you get a room facing the river. Restrooms are tiny, standing shower, used to be a cruise boat, so not very big.

Good hotel with nice view of river. Only problem was the WIFI was not so reliable.

This is a very nice hotel in a well connected part of the city. As it is a converted boat you need to expect the facilities you would get on a cruise (i.e. smaller bathroom etc) but you get a superb view as a result. The view from the bedroom window at sunset was spectacular. The staff spoke very good English and were very helpful with enquiries. If you are looking to go to Kiev I would recommend learning Russian rather than making the mistake I made and trying to find learning material for Ukrainian. Everybody there seems to speak both Russian and Ukrainian and frankly finding help learning Russian is a lot easier.

Though the neighborhood wasn't attractive in itself, I rated it 5 anyway because it was calm and therefore nights were quiet too. I had a more luxury room on the riverside and I loved it. Enough space, nice balcony and sublime view on the west bank of the Dnjepr River. Metro is at 10 minutes walk and very reasonable priced and the taxi can be ordered from the motel for a reasonable price as well. The breakfast was good for me, so no complaints there and the welcome to the hotel was great as well. So yes..... I hope to stay again in September/October :)

The hotel is a barge on the Dnieper river so it is a different kind of experience. The staff is very friendly.
