"Amazing onsen, traditional and luxurious at the same time."

Absolutely amazing onsen, which also has superb massage chairs. The room if big and feels both traditional and luxurious at the same time. Location is excellent — short walk to Shinkyo bridge and Toshogu shrine. For those who book without the kaiseki dinner, I highly recommend the Chinese restaurant nearby. Ask the staff and they will point you to it.

The staff were very polite, but didn’t feel very welcoming.

"Just great! Accidentally visited during a festival period, so the trains were really busy!"

Location was great - easy bus ride from the station and really close to the temples and shrines. Also visited Okunikko which was a really easy bus ride from the hotel. Staff were really welcoming and friendly. A great ryokan to start our holiday in Japan.
