Hotel Kokoro Mineral Hot Springs

Very clean but rustic rooms. Food was excellent. Loved the natural hot springs. Grounds very well kept with a number of animals to be seen. Structural upkeep needs work. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cabin 17 beautiful view of arenal

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Kokoro in La Fortuna! The location was perfect, with stunning views and easy access to all the adventures in the area. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the hotel itself was beautifully maintained with a relaxing atmosphere. However, we did experience some minor issues—there were electricity outages in the morning, which was a bit inconvenient, and we had a couple of unexpected critter visitors. That said, given the tropical setting, it wasn’t too surprising. Overall, we still had a great experience and would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of La Fortuna with great hospitality!

We were very pleased with the location, staff, and area surrounding Hotel Kokoro. The grounds are so beautifully maintained and it is like a sanctuary. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The meals were very good and we really enjoyed our stay.

A paradise property within short, easy driving or Uber distance from the main town area of La Fortuna. The property feels like an oasis. It was a great place to walk around or just hang out within between our scheduled activities. Wonderful staff, great free breakfast spread, and a great opportunity to have a hot springs experience without going somewhere else and paying extra. I will book this place again without hesitation if we ever return to La Fortuna.

The staffs are so friendly and helpful. The landscaping is excellent. The special treat is that one of the staffs shows us the baby sloth and different frog species. We like the buffet breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and will come back again.

We stayed at Hotel Kokoro over New Years and had a wonderful time. The staff were incredibly helpful. The gardener showed us sloths, monkeys, and frogs and cut us fresh coconuts. The sweet front desk agent always greeted us with the biggest smile and recommended and booked our activities. He also hosted karaoke at the New Years Eve party (he has a beautiful voice) which everyone loved, especially our kids. The grounds are very natural, not as developed and bare as other, fancier resorts. The hot springs are wonderful and our kids loved the pool. There were friendly travelers from all over and we loved the kind atmosphere. The cabins are rustic but the beds were comfortable and the AC worked well. All in all, highly recommend.

The hotel grounds are interesting with garden and some birds, however, the rest is terrible in needs of renovation. Room are very old, dirty, smelly, light bulbs does not work etc. The food it's limited. The management seems to be authoritarian towards the staff. Worst hotel in our entire trip
