Hospedium Hotel Sky Blu Loiu

Early flight is easy reached as airport is 10 minute drive away. Hotel is comfortable and very clean. Service at desk was very friendly and English spoken. Only complaint (and we were too tired to even inquire) was that we could not discover how to cool the room. Did not eat/drink at hotel but it had a really cosy community feeling to it.

The hotel while clean and friendly did not meet up to to it's advertising. It was further from the Loiu airport than we were lead to believe and there was no close dining or transportation. We moved to The Holiday Inn Express and for a few dollars more took advantage of their shuttle bus.

About 10 minutes' easy drive from the airport. Quiet and comfortable hotel in a quiet village. Very helpful and friendly staff. Dinner was excellent value. All-in-all our overnight stay - dinner with wine and complimentary Cava aperitif, bed and breakfast - came to just over 120 euros.

In our first trip to Basque region and arriving in darkness we opted for overnight stay. Next morning plan was a guided tour into Basque Country after which we would pick up hire car. The hotel is ideally placed near to the Bilbao airport. A short Taxi ride to hotel, room spacious and clean, also 20 minute taxi journey to Bilbao centre. After a good nights sleep, hotel next door to village church, we had breakfast which was adequate. I would recommend this hotel and considering that some days later, on our return to Bilbao, stayed at Silken in centre of Bilbao we probably preferred Hotel Loiu.
