Good location for walking and visiting areas of interest in the city. Our room was clean with pleasant decor however even with the wall radiator it was freezing on both nights and we ended up both having colds after a couple of days of getting home. I did mention this in the morning after the first night however an additional blanket or heavier duvet were not offered and we laid our coats on top of the bed for the 2nd night. It was a bitterly cold weekend and being in the loft room clearly did not help. Breakfast was a continental option and when I asked for a herbal tea (which there was in the room selection of teas) the lady laughed and just said only straight tea /coffee so I ran upstairs to get my morning tea. The area for breakfast was nice and the food was continually topped up at the buffet. The host seemed friendly and was very keen on sharing her knowledge with visitors on where to go throughout their stay.

"Very Nice B&B!!!"

8.0

Helen who checked us in was so warm and friendly!!! She explained everything quite nicely, giving us advice on where to eat locally and where to catch the bus. The breakfast room is set up perfectly with a section for guests to sit and watch TV if they want. The back porch with table and chairs is private and welcoming. The parking is secure. The room was very nice and decorated quite tastefully. The WIFI worked the best I have ever experienced in a B&B or Hotel!!!! The local area is nice, but when I walked a bit down the road it became a little less so. Sadly the house right next door is empty and in disrepair. I hope they sort that out soon as your property is so pretty, it's a shame to have that right next door. Overall we had a lovely visit to Cardiff and if I ever return I would use this B&B again!

"City Centre B&B "

6.0

From the outside Number 100 looks very chic and modern. Clearly money has been spent on it. An issue from the start was that there was nowhere to park. Pulled in next to a very seedy trashed kebab shop around the corner & popped in to hotel to enquire about this as it didn’t seem very safe. A lovely member of staff said we could find parking around the back of the property down a side road, she would wait there & guide us in. Couldn’t find her however so rang the number the owner answered & told me staff shouldn’t have mentioned the parking as the gate was broken & I should find somewhere to park on the street. I was a little uncomfortable at this as I had my 3yr old with me. She informed me they didn’t advertise parking & id have to drive around until I found somewhere. That was the last time I spoke to the owner. I never saw them. The b&b and room itself was lovely & clean. We booked and paid for two nights but only stayed the one as it was a 20minute walk into city centre & there was only a couple of places to eat nearby & we didn’t want to eat at same place twice. (Pub round the corner was recommended for food, but wouldn’t let us in at 5pm because of having a child. despite having dining area separate from bar). Continental breakfast served from 8-10am looked nice but the pastries were a little stale. Communal living room was cosy and comfortable. Staff (we met) were nice. Ok if you’re using public transport or on foot but a bit scary if in your own car.

The hostess was great and gave awesome tips on what to do and see in the local area. The B&B was a bit of a walk from the train and bus station, but was an excellent value! I would definitely stay there again.

"A rare find.."

10.0

We thought it was absolutely beautiful. A very welcoming host, spotless and tastefully decorated room, breakfast had an exceptional variety of high quality products and generous plunger coffee and teas. The breakfast room overlooking the garden made us feel as though we were more in a boutique hotel than a B&B. A pleasure 😊

"Surprising little gem."

10.0

This bed and breakfast hotel is small and in a fair location, but offered an enjoyable stay. The staff we encountered, Helene who greeted and checked us in, Bianca and Rob who were there during the daytime, were so very friendly and helpful. Bianca was exceptionally helpful with directions, assisting with getting info for bus etc...a great resource and asset to the hotel. They all made us feel at home. The continental breakfast was much more than I had anticipated and so enjoyable and the folks offered great hospitality every morning. Our room was spacious, comfortable and there was daily housekeeping with supplies for tea, coffee and biscuits everyday. The hotel is on bus route, but has reliable taxi service that they work with if you prefer. I didn't think that there was a lot of attraction in the area, but it is a comfortable walk to the city center and attractions like Cardiff Castle. Don't let the fair neighborhood and small size of the place fool you. They will take good care of you and make your stay a good one. I would stay there again.
